Hi - its nearly 3 years since I was last at WDW & the last time we stayed we made good use of the extra hour in the mornings available to people staying on the property.

This time I've noticed they also do extra evening hours, how does this work? How can they get everyone out of the parks who arn't staying on the property, or am I misunderstanding this completely? Please help?? :confused3

Our trip is for Christmas and New Year this year at the Wilderness Lodge, I'm very excited (10 months to go and I'm already annoying my husband with daily updates on Disney trivia!) I have always wanted to stay at WL since the first time I saw it.

Thanks ::MinnieMo

yes the park closes at a certain time, and only people with wristbands (bought in advance) can stay... its a paid thing.. llike $10 an evening as far as I remember .. although it may have gone up or have changed since we last stayed on property.

All the rides are not open.. just the most popular ones.

Hope that helps!!

Welcome to the DIS Debra

Extra Magic Hour if free for people staying onsite :) You pick up wristbands from within the park and then you are premitted to go on the rides. Without a wristband you can still eat and shop.

E-ride nights used to be when the MK opened in the evening for extra hours and you could then purchase tickets for this at about $10. They haven't done any of these for a while now
.
We are staying at WL for part of the trip this year :) Looking forward to experiencing that resort.

oops.. sorry.. :sad2:  we dont stay onsite any more!!! I was talking about eride night..

Yikes...

No problem Sammie :) I never got to experience E-ride Night but I am looking forward to Evening MH in April.

Apparently the MK didn't close until 12 midnight one night this week and EMH went on to 3AM!!! Not sure I would stay out that late :)

is it the same times all the while or are the timings released when the park hours come out ??
thanks

Extra Magic Hour evenings are cooooooooooooool. We stayed in Magic Kingdom until 1am recently and rode Splash Mountain at midnight.

It was easy to pick up a wristband once you had showed your resort ID. And they were very hot a checking for wristband at the entrance to all the rides.

Natalie, I think they are still experimenting with the hours because it is so new. I have picked up lots of helpful advice from the Theme Park Attractions & Strategies (gosh that's a mouthful!!) Board.
