Hi all

Just wondering how prices compare with Orlando?

Not specifically Disney but in general really eg. restaurants?

Exchange rate not as good as last year at the moment, hoping it will creep up a little more within the next couple of weeks, can't see it reaching the dizzy heights of $2.00 to the £1.00 as we got in 2007 though!

As a general rule of thumb, prices are higher in Southern California than in Central Florida. Probably not on par with cities such as New York or London, but still pretty high.

A (non-Disney) takeaway meal in Orlando will generally set you back $7-$9 per person, while in Los Angeles, it would be more around $9-$11.

The biggest difference I noticed in pricing out our WDW vacation is that kids meals are a couple dollars cheaper in Florida.
