How do or did you get to work?

Bus, sometimes the train. Taxis. I was freelance, so I did most of my work at home, and only went in to turn in art and instructions.

Drove. I worked graveyard shift for 25 years and 3 am to 11:30 am for 13 years, and the bus (and light rail) systems weren't operating for my commute to work.

Bicycle in the very beginning as a paperboy. (11 years old)
Car for the next jobs.
Take home police car for 20 years
Back to my own car after first retirement
Now, bare feet from the bedroom to the coffeepot, then my desk.

Subway when I worked in Manhattan and then when I moved I drove.

Since I started working full time I travelled by car. There were never any workable mass transit options covering my travel paths. Most of those years (maybe 90%?) I was able to carpool though.

Currently I walk .8 miles twice a day, for the approximately half the year I need to be there. I figured I commuted close to a million miles over the years, so now avoid the car whenever I can!

long life sucking commute by car (so do not miss it).

Drove my car. The last job was only 6 miles from home.

90% of the time I walk down the stairs. The other 10% I have to drive into the office.

Bus, sometimes train, sometimes work from home. When I qualify in my chosen profession, my home will be my office or I could conduct sessions via the internet.

Don't worry I'm carrying the torch, 68 miles each way... but I've been doing it for almost 20 years, another 8-10 and hope to retire.
