OK so I am the type of person that likes to take the "path of least resistance" Well...I ordered my airfare thru Disney...we are getting TMA in SYR in July...when I checked there rates it was going to be 770.00 CHEAPER than what Disney is going to charge me...Here's the problem...they only have 1 flight coming back to SYR....and that is at 0730 in the AM...THAT ISNT GOING TO WORK!!!
So, I started looking at priceline and the others...but I don't get it how do they work????

I am not sure what you are asking. Are you asking how airlines book online, or how to bid on priceline? Personally, I would never bid on priceline for flights, you do not know what airline you will be using or what time the flights will be or how many stops there are going to be. You cannot change them or cancel them. You bid first and pray that you get decent flights. I will, however, use Priceline for hotels and rental cars, but, not flights.

I'm asking how priceline and all these things work...sorry...hope this clears it up

I only know priceline.
You go to www.priceline.com, enter your dates, answer the questions, name your price and give them all the personal information they ask for, including your credit card, hit submit the bid and wait. It is really simple. Just follow the prompts. Like I said, be sure you want to do it this way, you may end up in MA on your way to MCO. They are not the most direct flights. Just follow the instuctions and you will be fine.

My daughter did airfare once through priceline and saved a whopping 5.00 each over the airfare you could have received directly from the airline on the net.

I would go to Travelocity or Orbitz first then.......

1. Put in your choice of travel dates........
2.Put your departing and arriving airports......
3. This will give you an idea of the lowest fares.....
4. If you see a fare with good times and price through Travelocity or Orbitz........
5. You can book it or go directly to the Airline's site and check the exact flight.......and see what the airline's website price is.....
6.Whicever is cheaper Orbitz,Travelocity, or Airline website than book your flight with a credit card for an e-ticket.

Has Disney purchased your tickets yet? I would check and see if they have because I can't imagine once they buy them you can cancel without a charge.

You should buy your own airfare for the best deal. I agree you shouldn't use Priceline if you want to pick the airline and the flight times. Since you are new to all of this I would use either the airlines web site or look for fares at Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz.

no I havent finalized the trip yet...have until 11/29/2003 to do that...

So is your trip then in 2004? I can't tell from your post if you are just looking at all the information for a trip or you have actually booked something.

Trip is Jan 29 2004 to feb 5 2004...but from all the info on this board I'm finding that there are many little things that re going to save me $$$

It is never too soon to start watching the air fares for the dates you want to travel. When you find a good price or one you can live with book it. If the price should go down you can get vouchers for the difference. I wouldn't wait until Nov. to book your air fare.

the prices tma has are great!!!but the dont have a good flight out the day of disembarkmentthey leave at 0725...which doesnt work...where as jet blue might have a later flight out...but it isnt posted yet...so i'm kind of stuck waiting for a bit
