How do merchandise pickups or resort deliveries work?

Just a note that if you purchase your item "late" it may not be at your resort until the next day. My experience: bought an item on Main Street (MK) a little after 10pm. Got to the hotel gift shop around midnight. After 30 minutes they declared that the package must not have come yet, check in the morning. Checked at gift shop the next day around 10am - still not there. Then got a message that it arrived around 2pm. So from 10pm Friday until 2pm Saturday.

But that is normal. Getting same day delivery may occasionally happen, but the information provided states that it will be available by the next afternoon. Expecting resort delivery only 2 hours after purchasing in the parks??? Um, no. Usually the store CM mentions this. I'm 99% sure it's written on the green receipt.

We have had the package waiting at the front of the parks. I think you are supposed to give them 3 hours for that option vs after 2pm the following day for the resort option.

anyone had anything shipped to the hotel that they purchased before they came?

interesting idea, never thought about doing that but technically your not there until you have a room but I think it's worth making a call. check the shop disneyparks app also, you might be able to get it now and ship it home but I never checked for this specific option. Make sure you login with you MDE login to ensure your seeing all shipment options.

Looking to have my mouse ears waiting for me when I arrive so I can wear them all 4 days I'm there and only have to stop to have them monogrammed (where can I do that btw?)

I forget the store names but in magic kingdom when you first walk in, the back right of the plaza before the narrow part of main street is a store that I think offers it. Epcot has the really big ear store near the fountain in future world. disney spring has a few customization type stores, one should be ears but never looked. the closest one I know does t-shirts and it's the first store you'll pass coming from the bus.

The stores that are obvious Disney owned stores - yes, you can have packages sent back to the hotel. I don't dont know about the othre (especially now that there are a fair number of fancy high end stores there).

I know I couldn't from Basin several years ago though (though as I'm typing I'm wondering if it was because I was too close to leaving).

It's free to either the park entrance or your resort hotel. Home delivery is available for a fee.
