How do Magic Bands work with renting points?

I'm not sure if this is where to post this = so mods feel free to move this. Anyway, DH and I are thinking about renting points for a trip in November 2014. If you rent points, how to the magic bands and FP+ work?

You would link the room reservation to your My Disney Experience (MDX) profile and then you would be able to receive MagicBands. To make FP+ selections, you would need to link valid park admission to your MDX profile.
