How do Magic Band incidental charges appear on your credit card statement?

Hello! I've been trying to figure this out for ages, and after talking to several people at Disney with no luck, I reckon my best bet is just to ask someone who's experienced this for him or herself.

If you link your Magic Band to a credit card when you check into your resort, and you use your Magic Band throughout your stay to pay for food, souvenirs, etc.—I just want to know how these charges appear on your credit card once Disney pushes them through.

Is it one lump charge rather than individual charges? And if so, how is this charge "coded" on your credit card statement (e.g., lodging, merchandise, gas/automotive, etc.)?

I have a rewards credit card where you can apply a statement credit toward certain travel purchases, and I'm just wondering if my Magic Band purchases will be coded on my credit card statement in such a way that will qualify for use of credit card points.

Thanks for your help!

They'll show up just like a Hotel bill where you ordered Room Service or PPV movie - lumped into 1 invoice.

Depending on the level of resort (Value, Moderate, Deluxe), there are different thresholds for the charges to be sent to your credit card. Values, ~$500; Mods, ~$1000; Deluxes, ~$1500. When you get at or near that limit, your credit card is charged in a lump sum, so if you're there a long time or charge a lot to your MagicBand, you might have several charges over the course of your stay. They appear as Walt Disney World Resort. How your individual credit card company categorizes that vendor is probably something you'd have to take up with them.

I have the Barclay travel card; I was able to redeem my credits against those room charges after my last trip.

Yes, they'll authorize you up to x amount, and if you hit the threshold at the end of any day, they'll charge you that night and restart your tab the next morning. I know some people like to pay for incidentals with gift cards (which you can get for a good percentage off, if you do it right), so if you decide to do that instead of the travel CC, just make sure you apply them before you hit your threshold. They'll tell you what your x is when you check in.

The charge came through as "Disney Resort - WDW" in one lump sum and we had restaurants and retail charges on there. I would recommend paying directly with the card if you are trying to get credit for a specific category.
