I am sure this has been asked numerous times but truthfully I do not have time to do a search.
I Love all of your designs and want to start so what programs are you all using? Is there one that is better than the others?

Well, Adobe Photoshop is ideal, but really expensive (starts at $300, I believe). Most use Photo Impact. It's much more reasonable (around $100) and has plenty of neat effects.

For someone starting out, if you are looking at the photoshop products, start with Photoshop Elements. I use it and love it and a lot of the DISigners on the Boards use it as well. It is much cheaper than spending $300 for full blown photoshop. I can't remember what I spent but I think it is somewhere between $100-150. There is also a lot of help online for it. There is a forum similiar to this called www.elementsvillage.com that is great, and there are lots of video tutorials on youtube that walk you through how to do things like name fills, etc.
