How do I tell my DH?

Glad to hear you are feeling better about the trip now. Hope you can convince him to drive instead of fly.

You guys both sound like great people. But you've got to find a way to communiate better, at least on this issue. You need to stop hinting and tell him what you feel. He's got to start listening to you when you do tell him how you feel.

This kind of stuff is hard - I don't know of any easy way to improve. But I'm pretty sure, "just shutting up" isn't the answer.

I think you should go and have a fun weekend! Don't worry about flying--you've probably built the fear of it up in your mind since it has been so long. My DH used to be terrified to fly, but after a few times (and some help from Mr. Sam Adams) he realized it was not a big deal. Now he can fly without heistation.

I just wanted to mention one thing--please be careful about buying concert tickets on ebay. If you are going to pay above face value anyway, it would be better to get the tickets through a legal ticket agency--you'll still pay through the nose, but at least that way you won't have to worry about the tickets being counterfeit.

Just as an example, when U2 came to Boston for the first leg of their last tour, staff had to turn away at least 100 people who showed up to the Fleet Center with tickets they bought off ebay--all fakes. It happens all the time.

Oh boy. DH won tickets from an e-bay seller with only THREE feedback ratings! :earseek:

Now I'm really scared about being burnt. What's worse is, he's been burnt before. Several years ago, he wanted to get me a laptop computer for Christmas off of e-bay. When it came, it was broken, so we had to send it back to the Canadian postal service for the insurance -- insurance got turned down because the seller didn't package it good enough, so the postal service sent the laptop back to the seller. There we were, out the $500 and out the laptop! E-bay was absolutely not help because, by the time we went through all the proper channels, it was past their 90 day limit.

You'd think he would have learned after that!

Make sure he pays for the tickets with a credit card. You can always do a chargeback if something goes wrong.

I know you'll have a great time!
