That is completely untrue. Another case of CM's being uninformed.
I called and got a reservation for Spirit of Aloha yesterday. She gave me a confirmation number and I used it to double check the reservation online immediately afterward. All I did was put in the confirmation # and my phone number.
I called and got Fantasmic package this morning. I got online with the confirmation number/phone number and was able to see my reservation. I had to double check it. I couldn't believe I was able to get it!!
If you are having trouble pulling it up online, check and make sure that the phone number you are using is the right one or if there could be another number. Somehow the ADR's I made for parents will only come up with their cell phone number even though they made the reservation with the resort confirmation number and their home phone number. Doesn't make sense, but that is how I got them to come up. I think the phone number that they use to reference your ADR's is the one on your email. That is how I noticed it on my parents ADR's because the email had their cell phone number on it.
