How do I re-use old MB?

I have bands from our trip last August, I see them on MDE.

I have booked a trip for this August and now see that new ones are on order for us.

Is there a way for me to link my upcoming trip to my old bands or am I defaulted to getting new ones?

Nothing is actually linked to the MagicBands. MagicBands are linked to your MDE profile. Your Disney Resort Reservation, tickets, FP+ selections, etc. are also linked to MDE profiles. Any MagicBand linked to your MDE profile can be used interchangeably.

Theoretically but not necessarily true. We (8 of us) added one day to our last trip which ended up giving us 2 bands each. We activated them all upon initial check in. After day one only some of the bands would open the door. (same room never relocated). Took all bands back to counter and they checked them and told us which bands were active for use only about half of them.

At home or still at Disney Now? If at home no worries because they will send you a whole new set for your next trip. If still at Disney take down to Guest Services and have them scan it to check band or just check resort door and see if it still unlocks it.

Unless the washing machine is 20 meters deep or more, the bands ought to be all right.
