How do I prepare for our June trip???

Just booked a trip in June and learned there’s currently no FP+. I know I need to reserve our park days and dining 60 days out, but what else? I’m so used to planning our park itinerary around our FP+ reservations, so I’m feeling a little lost, lol. Do you think FP+ will be back by the summer? How do you structure your park plan without FP+? Just keep and eye on wait times in the app? We’re planning on HS and AK. Thanks!

For our trip, I made my own park plans and modified as we got closer. I printed off a little schedule for each day lol. It usually started with the top ride to do to beat wait times or our #1, then went from there.

The Here Now & Just Back thread was a great guide to building out the plan, combined with some touring guides and any ADR time slots. I would plan on no FPs and then just be pleasantly surprised if they do come back.

You can make your park reservations now - not 60 days out. I suggest you do that as Hollywood often books out - especially on weekends.

We have been 3 times since opening and loved every minute. We did find that arriving early then taking a break in the middle of the day and returning in the evening helped with lines and waiting.

Enjoy!!

I echo what everyone else has said! At 60 days make any ADRs you'll want, go online and soon as you have tickets and make park reservations. Otherwise just make your own daily plans, read the just back thread to learn some tricks! I will say it was very freeing when we went right after Christmas to not have to worry about fast pass times!

I would plan like I used to: Hit the headliners at RD or at end of the day. I do not think FP will return by summer or even in the form it once was.

We are going for Thanksgiving and I am not planning on having it then, either.

Will do! Thanks for the heads up. Our 2 park days can be Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday with a pool day the other day. Would you recommend HS on one of the weekdays? Usually I pick days based on EMHs, but I'm assuming those won't be back yet, and the calendar isn't out for our dates yet.

EMH announcement yesterday. If you are staying on site you can get into all parks 30 minutes before opening time every day. There would be no extra hour at night.

Saying on-site so we’ll definitely take advantage of this!

I would recommend avoiding HS on weekends if possible. Our experience is that it was MUCH more crowded.

As soon as you decide what parks what days, make your reservations. Especially for HS as that seems to book faster. You can always change them.

The positive of no FP means do what you want. See a ride you want to ride, get in line & ride it. If you are there early for RD then try for a headliner or 2 before the lines get long & then check on them thru out the day. I think the lines keep moving pretty decent since they aren't being interrupted to let FP riders in (unless they have a breakdown or something). Don't be scared of the lines that look long. Remember they have parties spaced apart so of course it will stretch out further. I have found usually I am riding the ride sooner than anticipated (not by tons but 5 or 10 minutes). It was a little odd at first, but I have gotten used to it & enjoy my park days more. I don't feel like I am always looking at a clock or worrying about being somewhere at a certain time. If I want to stay longer & watch animals in AK, I can.

You do have to stop to eat or snack so that was weird for me too. Usually I would snack along the way to another area or ride, but now I have to stop & sit down to eat so that also changes how you traverse around the park as well too. And when I say "sit down" sometimes it's just grabbing a spot on a rock or bench or something along the way that you're spaced away from people so you can remove your mask. It's actually been sort of fun to find new little spots to eat or snack and enjoy the park I normally have blown by before without a thought.

Thank you! Very helpful! Do they still post wait times on the app?

I guess 30 minutes is better than nothing. Maybe by the time the resort guests get off the most popular ride the public will be let in 😂
