This will be my first June trip and i'm trying to plan. I know everyone says to get there early, rest, then stay late. My thing is I don't nap, but I do need my sleep. How do you plan your emh's, etc. If i'm planning to get to the parks at emh morning hours, there's no way i'm lasting until 2am that night. So, how do you plan that? If you've gone in the summer busy months do you go early or stay late? I always go in December so going early doesn't matter, because everything usually closes early anyway.

We found June to get Hot so we did do early mornings. We also Found the Extra Evening hours at MK were packed. We had hoppers so we did MK most mornings & the other parks after a swim break.

Thanks! Do you know if all the parks are usually less busy for the emh morning hours? If they all seem to be packed for the evening ones, i'll stick with the mornings.

I forgot to ask. Does emh morning hours make that park crowded for the day? More so then say non emh parks?

We have been in June and August when they offer 2 AM Magic Kingdom extra magic hours. All of my family are night owls so staying up that late is not a problem. Once the sun goes down in Florida life becomes a lot more comfortable. Standing in a line at 1 PM with smelly people (including myself) and the sun beating down on you is not fun.

In my experiences the park does thin out after the last Electric Parade. The families with young kids tend to pack it in while the teens are out in full force.

At 1AM in Fantasy land rides were a walk on. We kind of felt bad for the poor CM waiting at the enterance to Snow White because no one was going on.

We didn't sleep during the day much either but just getting into a cool or air conditioned area and sitting down for a while helped a lot. Maybe even changing your shirt. We got our second wind when the sun went down.

Also, we did not plan any early morning events the next day after a 2 AM EMH night. Sleep in and start slow the next day to recharge. Everyone gets really cranky on low sleep so keep the vacation fun.

Personally I love seeing the park at almost 2 AM. It looks kinda spooky when no one is around at night.

We're going in June too. I'm just getting so excited after reading all these comments.. June seems so far away.
Have fun!!

It is HOT in June. We have been often. We arrive for am emh and leave the parks by the afternoon. Then we often swim, take showers, have a nice meal off site. The lights are off in our room by 9:00 or 9:30pm. This was we get to enjoy a park, minimize our exposure to heat/humidity, and get a refreshing start the next day.

The risk of afternoon storms often messes up afternoon touring anyway. Sometimes we will return for a brief evening visit since some folks left and the rain helped to cool things off a bit.

Yes, an am emh park fills up faster than a non-am emh park. We often hop to a second park before we call it quits.

We don't do evening emh because it throws us "out of synch" for the next day's am emh. I can not even imagine arriving on a June day at about 10:30am and staying until 6 or 8pm. I feel it would be a crowded and hot experience. We do fireworks and parades at night during the cooler months.

Yes...........in a some ways we are a little wimpy.

June and Juky the last few trips and doing late June this trip. In general we do the AM EMHs. Those parks do get busy earlier. We usually have an early lunch if we are doing a CS and leave the park a little earlier.

We try to do one MK PM EMH per trip. This year we're planning on our last night. We'll do Fantasmic and then head over to the MK. The first part of the PM EMHs are usually still busy. If you commit yourself to at least two hours - especially for the 11:00 - 2:00 MK ones - the lines will grow steadily shorter. There will be die hards for the more thrill like rides.

We find it best to keep our daily schedules. For us that is up early and to bed early. We aren't usually up past 10:30 at night. We don't usually do extra morning hours because of the crowds in later in the morning but like to make park openings at 9.

This is my first time planning a trip, but what I did was plan to hit all the AM EMH the first half of our trip (it helps that each park has one the first four days we're there), and then do the evening things, like PM EMH and fireworks, during the last half. This may not work as well for a shorter trip (we're going for 10 days). Hey, it may not even work for us, but it sure looks good on paper! :)

This might defy "Disney Logic" as I like to call it, but this plan worked for us: the park that was having late EMH was the park we went to that day (we don't use the PH option). We would sleep in and get to the park around 11am. And it worked out GREAT because as we were getting there, all the screaming, tired, hot, overstimulated kids and flustered and irritated parents were leaving for naptime. We would do all the indoor rides first (PotC, Spaceshop Earth, ToT with the shaded queue, etc) and eat a CS meal during the hottest part of the day, then do all the outdoor rides after about 4pm, once the heat had subsided. It was AWESOME!! HTH, have lots of fun on your trip!!

Definitely. If you don't have park hoppers, I would avoid parks with EMH altogether.

Agreed. For our August trip we scheduled our days around what we like and what we could get for ADRs. If there is EMH at that park that day we're just gonna deal with whatever comes. But we will be park hopping so if it gets too busy we can just decide to go and do something else.

Hi this sounds like a plan Jackslilwench !! Does it work for all parks or just MK and Epcot ?

We've used it for every park, every time! So far, we've had no hitches or anything go screwy with it. The only park it probably won't work for is AK, but only because AK usually closes at 5pm anyway, lol. That one you have to get up early. But it gives you an excuse to make breakfast reservations at Tusker House!! :rotfl:
