It will be exactly 2 years from today that our next WDW trip is planned. We have gone to WDW each of the last 4 years and it has been the highlight of every year. Next year, though, because of family health issues, we are skipping our annual visit. Now I know some of you will not shed any tears for us, and I get it. Not trying to be some kind of diva here:) (oh you can't go THIS year? Boo Hoo!) But two years seems like a long time:confused3

We hope that by late 2013 the Fantasyland expansion will be complete. This will also give us time to save up more money so we can stay for a longer time, perhaps even on a monorail resort (never done that before).

How do you make the time go faster knowing that it's a long 730 days until you are finally back to your favorite spot on Earth?

It will be two years for me, too- last time we went was Oct '10 and we are going back Oct 12. I had a baby- that makes the time go by fast :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Don't see that happening any time soon...:thumbsup2

I haven't been since 2006 and probably won't make it back until 2014. We're going to try to get to DLR next year though. I knit to pass the time and I plan my dream trip A LOT.

Our last trip was Aug 2008, when I was pregnant with # 3. Since we got home from that trip we started planning our next trip for Dec 2012. We wanted # 3 to be 4 yrs old when we went back. Well, we found out a few months after # 3 was born, that SUPRISE, we were having # 4. We didnt want to break our promise to the older kids, so we still kept on with the planning for Dec 2012. We booked in Aug as soon as our 499 day window opened. We are also booked for a suprise quick trip in Oct for MNSSHP. After those 2 trips next year, we probably wont be going back for a few years, or, we are considering a Disney cruise, but that wouldnt be until 2018...we want the youngest kiddos to be 8/9-ish. Its been hard getting through the waiting period, especially once I found the Dis...it just made it worse :rotfl:

Feeling your pain! We are planning for Summer of 2013. It will be a while....

Definitely feeling your pain!! I wanted to do Disney again SOON, but my husband is changing jobs and has to be in his job one full year before he'll have paid vacation! So I had planned on 2013 for our next WDW trip. The hubster likes WDW alot but wants to cruise *SO* bad! So 2013 we are doing a Disney cruise (October) and December 2014 we'll be back at WDW to celebrate my graduation from nursing school! It's a LOooNG way away, but tons of planning time!

You pass the time by doing what your doing right now on the DIS Boards! That's how I plan on getting by. We've gone every year (sometimes twice) since 2005. Our last trip was this past August. Our next trip won't be until late 2013 as well (maybe August '13 or the week after Thanksgiving). Reason being my oldest is heading to college this coming Fall and we need to allocate our finances elsewhere (if you know what I mean).

My plan on passing the time is to be on the boards once a week along with other Disney sites I frequent. I will follow all the new stuff going on that will be availabe in 2013 (Fantasyland, Grand Floridian DVC, Art of Animation resort etc). I plan on helping others with their trips to Disney on the boards and within my extended family to help with the "itch."

I am sorry, don't have much practical advice for you, other than keep planning, dreaming, and posting on the DIS. We have gone at least once yearly since 2000 and I couldn't imagine having to wait 2+ years between trips. :goodvibes

We went through the same thing - after going every year since 1980, our last visit was in 2007, also partly due to some health issues. Also dealt with WDW withdrawal by trying to get on the boards when I could, living vicariously through reading about other's experiences, and trying to share a tip or 2.

Just flew home tonight from our first trip since then, and we found that part of the fun was enjoying (and being pleasantly surprised) by some of what had changed since our last visit!
