DISregard. I figured it out.

If you go to User CP at top of page, then select Edit Options on the left side. Scroll down to subscriptions and it gives you an option to receive email notices to subscription. Then you can select the no email notifications. Your Inbox will remain clear. Then when you want to find a subscription thread, the User Cp will list all of them and you can read them there. Hope that makes sense.
