How Do I Make Text Smaller?

All of a sudden the text got huge and would not fit on my screen.

I don't recall precisely what I was doing that instant but I was typing a reply.

How do I make the text smaller again (what do I press)?

Using Windows 8, Firefox rev 39.0 browser, Juno rev 8.8.1.0 internet.
Changing the zoom in Firefox did not work.

My only suggestion (I'm a non-techy type) is hold down the "control" key and use the scroll wheel on your mouse. One direction will make it larger, and the other will make it smaller.
