How do I know which is better - 40% off or 4/3 deal?

I have a trip booked the end of September with the 40% off code. We booked AKL savanna view for 8 nights for $1,684.09.

We would much rather go in the Spring, but I couldn't find savanna view with the 4/3 deal. I've been checking and checking and something finally popped up for 8 nights 3/27 - 4/4 for $3,294.66. This, of course, includes our passes and even the $200 gift card. I know they are different seasons - I think value vs. peak, so I would expect the March/April trip to be more, but can anyone help me figure out how much more that trip really is?

This is all just so confusing to me! This would be our first big trip on-site with the kids. We usually stay offsite to keep it more affordable, but DD8 has always wished for an AKL stay and I really want to finally make it happen for her, but I need to be as practical about it as possible too!

Thanks for any help!

are your tickets included in the first deal?

I'd probably wait until September it will be less crowded than if you have to go during spring break (although I'm giong then myself)

No, tickets are not included in that price. The 40% off deal is room only.

To see what the offers will save you, go on the Disney site and price out the rack rates on your trip by not using the Special Offer link.

Since you need to buy tickets and you said you prefer to go in spring, the 4&3 deal is better. If you carefully read through this thread, it will show you how you can get an incredible discount using the 4&3 deal if you want to purchase either a non-expiring ticket or AP.

Did you want to stay 8 nights? The deal is for seven...

No, we only wanted to do 7 nights with the deal, but it wasn't available for 7 . . . I thought that was strange, but it worked when I went for 8 nights?!?!

First, understand the 4/3 deal. The 4/3 deal isn't just for 7 nights. It's for 5-10 nights.

Book 5: pay for 4 nights, get 1 night free
Book 6: pay for 4 nights, get 2 nights free
Book 7: pay for 4 nights, get 3 nights free
Book 8: pay for 5 nights, get 3 nights free
Book 9: pay for 6 nights, get 3 nights free
Book 10: pay for 7 nights, get 3 nights free

Tickets also do not require any certain number of days. You just get up to 3 free days on whatever options you choose when you purchase 5+ days. It follows the above payment with days v. nights.

X amount of rooms are set aside for 5 nights, x amount of rooms are set aside for 6 nights, x amount of rooms are set aside for 7 nights, x amount of rooms are set aside for 8 nights, x amount of rooms are set aside for 9 nights and x amount of rooms are set aside for 10 days.

If your number of nights isn't available, you can book what is available and then call and adjust the day. For example, book the 8 nights and then call the next day and drop a day. It should be possible.

Also be aware that there is a different availability for online bookings v. phone bookings. If you call, your nights might be available (or resort, or view) that aren't available online or vice versa.
