Boy have I got some questions. Please help me?

When do I know when my 11 month window is? Is it just 11 months prior on the same day of the month, or is there a "days" calculation that makes it a day before or after like with the ADRs?

Could you explain day-by-day ressies to me? Are they separate ressies that get hooked together or do you "add on" each day to the first day's ressie?

Do you think it would be necessary at the 11 month mark to make a day-by-day ressie at SSR for the first two weeks of Janaury 2007?

Thanks for your help. Sorry for all the newbie questions

Moderators - I'm sorry, I did it again. I opened the wrong DVC board to post to. Please move this to the DVC planning board. I'll get it soon, I promise.

The 11 month window is 11 month from your check out date. For example you could book today to check out on December 11. As far as the SSR in January 07. I would not see a problem, but then again who knows. :flower:

there are planning tools somewere on board that help you on this also you can ring up each day and tell them you are going to do it and add on there is no problem doing this.As chiritsmas is a busy time to get dates you tell them you are doing it like that and they wount send your reservation untill you have phoned on last day .Hope this makes sence

The 11 month window is based on the same day of the month, but it's based on checkout, not checkin. So if I'm checking in on December 11, my 11 month window would be January 12.

If you're booking at a busy time, it's advisable to call each day. On the first day you call, tell MS the total length of your stay. They'll give you a confirmation number and keep the reservation open until you call in for the last day. Each day will be added to that same reservation number.

If you don't tell them to open a reservation for the full length of your trip, and just call in each day, you'll end up with multiple reservation numbers that have to be linked together.

I'm currently booking a trip December 8-15. I called in on December 9th and opened my reservation. Each day I call in and another day gets added to the trip.

Look for any post by Caskbill, go to his signature line and click on the link, and download his DVC Planner software.

It's free and it gives you everything you need to know, and every tool you could want, for planning a DVC stay...including point schedules until Two Zillion Sixty-four, the opening dates (adjusted for weekends and holidays when MS is closed) for both the 11 month and 7 month window on any vacation you are planning, etc, etc, etc.

Great software, indispensible tool...a must-have for any DVC owner.
