How do I know I have enough booze for Thanksgiving?

I am seriously stressing if I have enough alcohol for my Turkey day party~

I am making a southern comfort punch for while appetizers are out; and I have a case and a half of beer for the guys for football and apps.


During dinner I have 5 bottles of wine~ not the lg bottles; the regular size~ 3 white~reisling and 2 beaujolais? sp?

Then I have have a few cordials for desert time w coffee.


Oh~ I am serving for 12 and 3 are kids.

So...you have 36 bottles of beer (4 per adult) plus 5 bottles of wine (equivalent to 25 drinks or almost 3 drinks per adult) plus punch and cordials. That's over 8 drinks per adult. Depending on the crowd, I think you'll probably be fine .

Of course, I can't guarantee whether you and your guests will be fine on BF!

Well~ I don't think they'll be finishing all of it~ I'd rather have more than not enough.

And if needs be I will call cabs for them; or my 18 yo DD and my Dh will be more than willing to drive people home.

And I can usually drink 1 bottle of wine by myself~I was asking for help not criticism; but thank you for your concern

I am known throughout our family and friends to have a signature drink with appetizers (of which there are enough to feed a small army), plus an assortment of wine or beer if anyone cares for it, plus sparkling wine/champagne with dinner, and an after dinner cordial or baileys or spiked eggnog with dessert/present opening.

I think you understand how to entertain your particular guests and they should all have a fantastic time! Enjoy the holiday!

I'd put the wine and beer out with the punch - granted, I live in the NE, and we don't do punch, and I can't stand Southern Comfort. I think you're good - my bunco group (12) is usually good with about 4 bottles of wine, plus beer.
