How do I go about transferring points?

I'm looking to rent points from another member. My home resort is *** and I have a *** use year. I'm looking to book either at *** or ***. Do I have to transfer points from a member with a specific home resort or use year? What about points that they have that may be currently near their banking deadline? Thanks!

When you receive transferred points, they retain their home resort and UY. So you step into the other owner's shoes for those points and can make any reservation they can with them (without borrowing). Also, you can bank them while in the banking window.

If you want to book at 11 months, you need home resort points for the resort at which you want to book. If you book within the 7 month window, any resort will do.

The points must be current or banked into the UY you need for the reservation you are making. Also, remember that you cannot borrow transferred points. Don't get Dec 10 UY points if you want to stay during Oct 2010.
