I'm taking my DD for her 11th birthday in May. I'd love to have a card signed by Mickey in our GF room when we arrive. Anyone know how I do this? Thanks so much!

Definately talk to the front desk/guest services at your resort - they can do all kinds of things.

When we stayed at WL in December, my daughter wrote a letter to Mickey. She dropped it off at the front desk when we checked out - asking that it delivered to Mickey. The CM said that she'd be sure that he got the letter. About a week later my daughter received a signed card from Mickey in the mail! Really cool!

What about getting one of the Disney line BD cards at your local card shop....signing it....maybe stick some confetti, etc in it and then ask the Front Desk if someone could put it in your room (i.e. housekeeping, etc) while you were out that day?

Let the front desk CM know it's your daughter's birthday when you check in. When we stayed at the Yacht Club for my daughter's 5th birthday, I told the CM at the front desk my daughter would be turning 5 the next day. The CM asked who her favorite characters were, and when we returned to our room from the parks the next day, there were two autographed character photos waiting for her, along with a Bellhop Mickey beanie and balloons. :)

TWOOD-

These are all great suggestions. When I was at the CBR in November I had a couple of room requests and decided to simply ask if I could have a card with the Princesses signed in the room for my 27 year old friend!

They were so fabulous because they gave her a balloon, cake, a card by the Princesses, AND a card from the Fab 5 all with personalized messages for her.

I faxed my request 3 days before my arrival and her birthday was 2 days into the trip. I think giving them the advanced notice might have helped things along. She was so surprised!

When we went down to WDW in November, we celebrated my youngest daughters 18th b-day. I talked to the front desk ahead of time and asked them if they could arrange to have a small cake at our room upon arrival- sure enough, there was a cake and balloons and a signed card from Mickey! She was thrilled and surprised. Although I was fully willing to pay for it, there was no charge! Don't forget to mention EVERYTIME you make a dining reservation at WDW to mention your celebrating her b-day that week..... special things will more than likely be in store for her if you do! Be sure she gets her special person pin ( I can't remember the "official" name of it- sorry) in the MK at City Hall- if she wears it she will get an added bit of attention from the CM's . My daughter had security stop her ( as if she had done something she shouldn't) just to tell her happy birthday!!! WDW is the best place for a b-day! Have a great time!
