How do I get money back?

Originally we were going to do deluxe dining. but after a second look decided to pay oop for a few meals and go with regular dining.
Because my package wasn't completely paid off, switching to regular dining will both pay off my vacation and give me over $200 credit.

My question is, will they put money back on my card or can I request they keep it on my account so I can use it on vacation using my KTTW card? (which is what I'd rather do)

They should refund it however it was paid. If it was charged on a cc, they will refund the cc. If it was paid for by gift card, they will refund thr gift card.

They will refund the difference to your cc (or gift card if that was used).

If you want to then that refund and go to Kroger or Walgreens and get the equivalent in a Disney gift card - you can use it to pay down your room charges or use at the restaurants. (it just may be a little harder to keep track of the money on the card that way though)

If you are more than 45 day days from your arrival date, then I believe you can change it without any penalty, and they will put it back on the method used for payment.

I used Disney Gift Cards for my final payment, and I was told to keep the gift cards in the event a refund had to made, it had to go back on the gift cards.

Since I am a NEWB, I am not 100% positive on this, though.

If you have a smart phone, there is an app called Disney Gift Card, that tracks your balances on the gift cards. When I made final payment, I used a Gift Card, that still had a balance on it, and the CM I was on the phone with, did not know such an app existed. She thought it was pretty cool! I was able to tell her the balance!

It will still go back to the original method of payment. You will have to contact the bank, and they'll just issue you a check.
