We would like to try out the Flying Fish for dinner but we will not be going to any parks that day. So how do I get from the Polynesian to the Baordwalk without going through Epcot? Thanks!

We were going to do the same thing. I was told to go to MK from Poly. Then get a bus to Boardwalk. And then take a cab back. Or I suppose you could get a bus to TCC and walk back to the Poly.

There are NO buses to the Boardwalk at the Transportation & Ticket Center.

All Disney Resort Transportation is based out of 5 Hubs. Those hubs are the four theme parks, and Downtown Disney. Just like any city transit system, you need to connect at a Hub to get to some areas. Which hub you use, is up to you.

To get TO the Boardwalk...

1.) Catch the Monorail to the MK, and then connect to the Boardwalk bus
--OR--
2.) Catch the bus to the Studios, and connect to the Boardwalk boat.

To get back to the Polynesian:

If either theme park is still open, reverse your steps. Otherwise, use Downtown Disney as a connection point.

Wow thanks! That seems like so much work to get there. Maybe I will change my PS to a day we go to Epcot. I can walk to the Boardwalk somehow through the World Showcase right?

It's really not as bad as it seems, or as others may make it out to be. However, yes, you can walk right to the BW from the World Showcase.

Agreed. I don't think resort to resort traveling is the horrible ordeal it is sometimes made out to be-- especially since you can just take the monorail to the MK-- thats so fast-- and then bus it to the Boardwalk. The Flying Fish is worth it.

Although I take public transportation in my normal life and don't own a car, so I have a little more tolerance than some.

I think splurging on a cab for the way back is a nice thing to do.

THanks Tyler for clearing that one up for me. I've been told sooo many things that my head is beginning to spin!!! You're absolutely right when you say if you want transportationl help, ask someone in purple!!! Now I know better and may actually make the trek from WL over to Boardwalk.
