How do I get from all parks to Epcot?

I have a trip planned for July for 2 adults & 1 6-year old. We are staying at Pop Century for 6 days and then we are spending 10 days at Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista.

From what I understand this hotel has free shuttle service to all 4 theme parks, but I know you can't rely on hotel shuttle service. I checked on the Mears website for cab estimates and from Epcot the fare to Palm Parkway is about is roughly $11.00.

I have 10 day MYW tickets with the waterpark option, but no hopper. I plan on spending about 4 days in the parks when we are at Pop and that will leave me 6 days in the parks and the 6 days that you get with the waterpark option. I know it has to be used within 14 days so I will be spending a lot of time at the parks.

I plan on using the shuttle service in the mornings to get to the parks, but if I stay for the fireworks or until the park closes, which might be later than the shuttle times going back, how do I get from any park to Epcot to take a cab.

Taking cabs from Magic Kingdom, etc. is $20 or more, but from Epcot to Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista will be $11.00 plus tip.

What I need to know is do I need the park hopper to get from 1 park that I am in to get to Epcot to take a cab? Do I have to enter Epcot to take a cab back to Comfort Inn?

For example, how do I get from Animal Kingdom to Epcot? How do I get from MGM to Epcot and how do I get from Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon to Epcot?

Comfort Inn doesn't have shuttles going to the waterparks. Which park shuttle should I take that would leave me closer to the waterparks? What theme park is Blizzard Beach close to and what theme park is Typhoon Lagoon close to?

Are there buses from Downtown Disney that would take me to the waterparks? Sorry for so many questions.

Thanks for any info you can give.

I am suprised that the cab fare would be so different. I am not sure where the hotel is, but the travel time from the TTC (MK parking lot) where the taxis are located, and Epcot is only 10 minutes. I wonder if the calculator is taking into account the traffic jam when MK closes. (The epcot traffic jam is much less severe.).

You do not need a park hopper to get to Epcot to take a cab from there. You do not need to enter Epcot. HOWEVER, if Epcot has been closed for a while, there may not be cabs waiting there. Also, there MAY not be WDW transportation to take you to Epcot (especially if you are at a water park).

To answer your questions:

From AK, take a bus to Epcot.
From MGM, take a bus to Epcot.
From MK, take the monorail to the TTC. If Epcot is still open or has closed withing the last 90 minutes or so, take the monorail to Epcot. If Epcot has been closed for longer than that, take the bus to Epcot.

For TL, you can get get a bus from DTD in the afternoon as it travels to a resort. In the morning, the DTD busses go to a resort first. You would then need to transfer to a TL bus. After you are done at TL, you would then need to take a bus to a resort. Then take a bus to Epcot.

For BB, take the MGM shuttle. Then get on the AKL bus. It stops at BB on the way to AKL.

MGM is at least as close if not closer to the Comfort Inn than Epcot. So the cab fair would be less.
