How do I get Free Dining?

Hi,

I have read that some people are getting free disney dining, how can I try to get this? Can anyone help me, Do you book direct or through a holiday company?? I hope someone can help me

Free Dining is offered as an incentive to book at certain times of the year. You usually have to travel between mid August and October. The offer has in previous years been offered by WDW UK from around November to January for bookings. I believe travel agents pass it on as well.

So you would need to wait til the end of this year to see if it were offered again for 2010.

it is offered aug to nov for booking the next year aug to sept/oct.
Last year disney extended it to bookings made till dec 2nd.

It might be back this august for 2010

It's not necessarily too late for this year - you may be able to do it direct with Disney in the US but details haven't yet been announced - with the Restaurants board, there is a Disney Dining Plan board and there is a thread at the top 2009 Free Dining Watch - you can look on there for updates. Last year it was offered to those booking before the beginning of November for 2009 with a packaged holiday from the UK departing from the beginning of August (it was 11th August onwards the year before) to end September.

The US haven't yet announced their deal but the dates are usually a couple of weeks after the UK offer. The only thing is if you do the American deal, you'll have to book a package (accommodation plus tickets) during the qualifying time period and you'll have to pay in dollars (not good with the pound being so weak) but it's still worth keeping your eye open and costing it all out if/when it comes available and get in there quickly.
