Hi! We are traveling to WDW this Sunday and would like to get some bottled water for the rooms to have with us. I tried Garden Grocer but unfortunately due to high volume of deliveries during the time we will be there they aren't accepting any more orders. Does anyone have any other ideas for getting some cases of water to the World? We are flying, using the Magical Express and staying at the ASMu Resort. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I figured someone on the Disboards would have some good ideas for me.Thanks guys!:)

I would think you could air freight it ahead of you. Call the resort and they can A. Hold it for you until you arrive. B. Put it in your room upon check in. The cost shouldn't be highly expensive apart from shipping and purhcasing the bottled water those are the only fees I know of.

I ordered from staples and got free shipping by signing up for their rewards program.

Will they ship to the ASMu? Would they leave it at the bell services or do they have to have a room number? Thanks for answering so quickly. :goodvibes

Staples or Costco.com...put your name and address of the resort in the normal spot and if there is a section for notes, or even the section for 2nd address..put your name and reservation confirmation #...

Staples now charges for delivery unless you have $50. I think you will still come out cheaper than if you bought water from the resorts/parks.

Check on the budget board but I think I read that the values will turn deliveries from Staples and the like away for some reason. Definitely check with the resort first to make sure this won't happen before you order.

I had that problem trying to figure out how to get
bottled water for upcoming trip.

I finally found an answer on Disboards, that I could do after we arrived
at WDW.

We are staying at POR and will travel to the DTD Hess Gas Station
and buy a case after we get there and bring it back to the resort.
Hess is a easy walk from DTD.

We had order from GG for last years trip but this year they have
raised the minimum order amount to get delivery and don't think
it worth ordering extra overpriced things we won't use.

We're planning to us wegoshop.com for our upcoming trip. I've read good things about their service from several DISers, but I've never used them myself.

Thanks for all of the great ideas! I think we are going to give Staples a try. I am going to check out wegoshop.com too. If all else fails I will just take a bus to DTD and walk to the Hess gas station. Thanks again! :)

We used netgrocer.com we had it all delivered to por. the cm brought the package to our room for us. we just did not just order water though. We figured that is was cheaper to also purchase snacks as well so we did not need to purchase this stuff while at the parks. We also had enough to have a little snack in the room while the kids took a nap.

We actually just pack it in our suitcase. I take 4 or 5 bottles and put them in a gallon ziploc bag and stick one or two bags in each suitcase along with some granola bars, pop tarts and some other snacks. I know that it takes up quite a bit of room but we use that extra room on the way home for all our souveniers. I've never had a problem with anything leaking.

I don;t remember the name of all the water purifier machines, but did you consider taking one of those?
Anyone use one. My son has a filter on their fridge and they have not had the sams club water ever since.

We usually rent a car and go off site to buy carry me throughs.

I had two thoughts....well actually one with a solution. What about buying everyone reuseable water bottles, you know the nice hard plastic ones. And just refilling them everyday from the tap and ice from the ice maching at the hotel.....if you are worried about nasty water taste from the tap and not being filtered.....try those individual kool-aid or crystal light packets that you can poor in to cover the taste. It's just an idea. Or maybe at least take them so if you have to refill the bottles at the park you can cover the taste. Im sure the don't filter the drinking fountains at the park :) Im all about drinking water but it has to be filitered. Water that taste like pipes is not good!

We ordered our water from staples (2 cases of 24 was less than $14.00) and I had free shipping with my rewards card. I ordered it online a few weeks before our trip, then called to change the delivery date, since that was not a choice and I didn't want it to arrive before my trip. That was not a problem and it was delivered on my arrival date without a glitch. Also, you can get free ice water in the parks at areas that serve soda, no questions asked or strange looks given:) we brought the crystal light mix ins for water bottles and found them to be much more convenient than having to carry the water bottles into the parks. Our room fridge was not too strong so our water never really got cold. HAve fun!

Love the garden grocer idea.:thumbsup2 I completely missed that when reading the Unofficial Guide. $12 delivery charge for me not to have to pack food is awesome!! Thanks for the tip.

Be careful drinking the tap water. All that flouride will put the dentists out of business!

Thanks for all of the great ideas guys! I really appreciate all of the answers. We decided to pack a small case of water for the first few days and then are having Staples deliver us 2 cases on Tuesday(the day they said it would be delivered anyhow :) ). We do have some Crystal Light and Kool-aid packs so hopefully that will take care of the taste when we do have to start refilling with the tap water (yuck!). Yay, I am off to the World! (Well, tomorrow I'll be off to the World) Thanks again guys! :)

We packed an entire case in a carry on sized suitcase and checked it with our baggage. I had some styrofoam from a package that was recently delivered so I put it around the case so it was in there really tight and it worked out great. Not only did we have a full case of water for the trip but we had an empty suitcase to use for all the extra stuff we needed to bring home!!:thumbsup2

Hey guys, just thought I would let you know how the water situation worked out. We ordered 2 cases from Staples and had it shipped to the resort. My dh is already a Staples Rewards card holder so the shipping was free. We ordered it on a Thurs. and the water got there Mon. while we were at AK. The resort just put it in our room for us which was so nice. I highly recommend doing this if your family drinks a lot of water. We did pack 12 bottles in our luggage in large ziploc bags because we were told by Staples that our water would not get there until Tuesday but actually got there earlier. It worked out fine. Thanks again for all of the great suggestions.
