We have dinner reservations at O'hana's one of the evenings that MK closes at 6pm for MNSSHP. But now I am worried about how to get back to POFQ. Can we just take the monorail back to MK then get on the buses there? I don't want to be stuck! :rolleyes1

Or take monorail to TTC and catch resort bus there. :goodvibes :wave2: :wizard:

Yes... you can take the monorail back to MK or you can take the boat back that runs between the Poly and MK (we took the boat back,in Aug ) and then board the bus back to POFQ. O'Hana's was wonderful we had a wonderful evening there DD9 really enjoyed the Hula- Hoop Contest and the Coconut sweeping race. !! Have a great time . :flower: By the way we arrived an hour early so we could check out the Poly and we had a nice relaxing wait on the beach with the beautiful white sand and relaxed on the beach hammocks ,too. Try to arrive early...you'll love the beach and pool .p.s (wish I had brought my DD swimsuit ...she would have loved a quick dip in the after dinner ) ENJOY :flower:

we tried the walk from the Poly to TTC to catch the POFQ bus in July, guess what??? Now the hub is MK, so we had to ride the monorail back over to MK, while DD10 had a migraine headache! We had planned to return to the hotel to get her some ibuprofen, wound up buying adult tablets in the MK and crushing them for her. That's two different times I've tried to do something at the TTC only to find out that "it doesn't work that way anymore" :(

take the bus from the poly to downtown disney then take the bus back to pofq or take the boat from downtown disney to pofq

There are no RESORT busses at the TTC. The only DISNEY bus transportation at the TTC are for MGM and AK. (Also a bus to Epcot when the Epcot monorail shuts down after Epcot is closed.)

I with those tranportation wizards that are on the web would update their web sites because some of the information is out of date. There haven't been busses at the TTC for maybe 10 years now.

What..... :earseek: Now I'm really confused. I also need to get back to POFQ from Ohana's. So I take the boat or monorail to the MK(not the TCC) and then go back to the hotel??? Do I do it the other way around to get there??? I presume so. Thanks!!! :flower:

You got it. And yeah, to get to the Poly, take your resort bus to MK and then jump on the monorail or boat.

I remember there being resort buses at the TTC, but that was in 1999. :confused3

Since MK is open for MNSSHP the buses will be running as well as the monorail.
Once you are done dinner, take the monorail back to the MK and the get a bus back to your resort. This should not take very long

If the park was not open then I would say take the bus from the Poly to DTD and then the bus from DTD to the POFQ...this trip may take awhile.

If MK is still open...even for MNSSHP, then the monorail back to MK is the best choice. If not, I would get a cab. It won't take too long to get back and paying $15 is much better to me than transferring buses around WDW that will take you an hour (or more) to get back to your resort. Plus, tell the cab driver to take the side road that goes to Fort Wilderness.....that will save you time and money getting back to POFQ.

We took the monorail to O'Hana's and the Boat ride back to MK. The boat ride was a quick ride ...about 5-7 min. I would say and we got to see the view of MK from the Boat....p.s. Don't forget to arrive early @ the Poly to get some great photos of the resort and relax ox the white sandy beach !!!!! :cool1:

1. I really think the boat ride from the Poly to MK is excellent. You then just walk over to the bus area to catch the POR or POFQ bus to hotel.

2. For a longer, far more excruciating venture, take the DTD bus to DTD, and then appropriate bus back to hotel. Guaranteed 1 to 1 1/2 hour trip!

3. You can also monorail back to MK, and take your bus back to hotel from the MK area. If you do this, remember to ask to sit in the front of monorail. (Not a given but fun to do).

PS. Our family used to have transportation relays around the World. Alternate routes with "who will arrive first?" Since the demise of the TTC as a hub, it's not so interesting!
