How do I get a Discounted resort rate??

Hey, everyone!
Well, I applied for the Leows card tonight. But I have noticed a lot of people talking about getting discounted rates to the on-site resorts. We are planning to stay onsite in June 2005. I know that the discounts are not available for 2005 yet, based on what other threads said. But when they are available who do I call and what do I say or do to get a good discounted rate?? I appreciate any info. you can give me as I really do not want to pay the full price and then later find out I could have saved.

Someone may know more, but here goes...

You can ask for the following: AAA (If you have a valid membership), ENT(you have to purchase an entertainment book for '05-available for sale in the fall at entertainment.com), FAN(Universal FAN club-something you get through your place of employment-there is info about it at universalorlando.com), and APH(annual passholder discount)

The best discounts seem to be ENT, then APH. It varries and all discounts aren't always available. When codes come available you can put them in on the website or request them over the phone.

Another way people get good rates is at hotelkingdom.com

d4est pretty much covered it all. Just a few things to add would be that when you are ready to call you can call Loews direct at 1-800-23LOEWS and ask for the rates d4est explained. You can also try 1-800-BEASTAR which is Universal Vacations. The website for LOEWS is www.loewshotels.com. You can get quotes for all codes EXCEPT Entertainment rates through the website. a few years back I got a really good deal at the hard rock through hoteldiscounts.com and also hotelkingdom.com for hard rock again. but if your an APH try that first. Linda
p.s. last year I showed them my lowes card and you should have seen the set up they brought to my room. a bottle of wine on ice, on a tray with wine glasses and crackers and I got to keep the bottle opener that has the hard rock logo on it. also got a daily newspaper too.
