How do I find out if there is a pin code attatched to my name or husbands name? Is there a website or should I just call an agent? TIA!

Just call 407-WDisney and have a SPECIFIC date that you want to go. They'll be able to see if you have a PIN attached to that date range. You won't be able to say, 'do you have something for me between August and November?' because they'll need you to 'prompt' them with a date (a lot of what you can get depends on HOW you say it with Disney reservations).

Good luck! :goodvibes

Hmm interesting, then what exactly should I say ???? I don't want to goof lol

Is this true? I have called and asked if I had a pin code attached to my name and was told I do (but it was room only that wasn't as good as the current promo) - I didn't give dates. If I give dates would that mean I could possibly have additional pins hooked to my name?

Mind if I borrow your post to ask a pincode question too?:)

What if you have a reservation already? Can you still have a pincode on your account and not know it? What do you ask if you call, and do they get annoyed with people calling and asking?

I too was wondering the same thing. I am not the greatest on the phone and just wonder if you just ask outright or is another way to ask to get it. Do you call it a PIN code or discount code or what?

We are booked with the 35% off deluxe rate that expired 03/27/10, but I can save about $200 more with Free Dining vs the room discount. That would be $200 more I could use for souvie's. I think that is right!! I have pages upon pages where I have been trying to figure out which discount is best. :confused3

We booked in February, and I just found out tonight that I had a PIN. You can just ask outright; I did.

The CM was actually a little excited for me. He said it was the best discount he'd seen all day.

May I ask a question also? I recall after I booked my vacation that I was sent an email offering me something, I believe it was free dining. It was sent not even a week after I booked. I was upset that I got it after the fact not knowing I could have it added. I do not have the email but would it still be attached to me where I can call and ask to have it added?

Well I finally got up the nerve to call (I have a big phone phobia :confused3) and of course got a CM that would not check. She asked if I had gotten something in the mail and I said I had a long time ago (which I did - but I am talking years ago). She asked what it was for and I said "Free Dining", but really I cannot remember what it was for, I just remember that I was disapointed that we could not go at that time.

She went on to tell me they have not had Free Dining discounts so far this year. I was going to add DDP anyways so I did. It ended up being a little more than I had calculated, but I guess I was not adding tax or something. I was just so shocked she would not look to see if I had a Pin code I did not even ask about the discrepancy. She had to get guest services to add it since we already had one discount (35% off Deluxe) so she could not.

Due to my crazy phobia, I know I will not call back unless FD is announced for our dates. I would ask my DH to call, but he gets frustrated with my inability to call people and it just ends up being an argument. At least we do have a discount, I just hate not saving as much as possible. We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and I want to make it as special as possible!!!

Congrats to those that ended up with a PIN code - I guess that Disney magic is hit or miss. :sad2:

I'd think it would still be attached to your name. Never hurts to call and see if it is!

BTW, the CM I got didn't ask specifically what PIN I was looking for - he just said I had one.

Whenever I call I ask....one CM told me not for my travel dates....never told me what it was for, but I figured I didn't want it as we are pretty set in our travel dates.

I booked with WDW online, hoping for a 'deal' to come out, I REALLY hope something comes out, otherwise I'm gonna kick myself for not booking with AAA and saving a few $$ there.

Then again, we are gonig no matter what (thank you tax return!) but it would be nice to be able to get a new digital camera with left over tax money rather than paying more for the trip!

I just called once again to see if I had a pin attached for free dining. I have booked for June 23-28 with the GC and then 28-30 with a % off pin in a moderate. The CM was very friendly but said that I had no new pin. He told me my deal was actually a good one and even checked to see if I would save more by doing the % off instead of the GC. He found that I saved about $150 more my way. Our party is 2 adults and 2 children under 10. He said with those 2 offers that ended March 27th they had huge sale increases for the
1st quarter.:guilty: He also said to just keep checking back and watching the ads, but they have heard nothing of free dining.:sad2: Overall, he was very helpful and friendly. He had no problem checking for me either. I call back a lot to check on my pins and have never had a CM who refused to look. I would keep calling back of 1 did. How rude!:snooty:

Thank you for this board! I just called Disney and I had a pin attached to my name for 25-35%. I wouldn't have known about this if I had not been lurking.:cheer2:

We booked yesterday, and had a free dining pin attached to us good for booking until April 30, for travel in August 1-15. This surprised us as we hadn't seen anything about free dining this year yet..

So it IS out there in teh wild.. you just have to find it.. just like the Snipe...

:sad1:Well, I just called Disney and asked them to look up our reservation and see if we had a pin attached and she wouldn't even look. She told me because the reservation was made through a travel agent, I had to go through that travel agent and have them do it EVEN THOUGH I was looking at my Disney World Reservation Confirmation sheet with our confirmation numbers and everything that the travel agent had given me. She would not even look up our reservation or anything for me. She was actually quite rude! :sad1:

Which one did you get?

I phone about once a week to ask about a pin.

Most CMs are very pleasant and look. Once a CM asked to put me on hold after a minute and I was so exicited, I thought I had a pin for sure! But no..

However once I had a lady CM tell me the same information as you. I just thanked her and phoned back an hour or so later to speak to someone else.

My TA said I could phone but if I received one, I would have to give it to her to add to our reservations. I wasn't going to get into an arguement with the lady CM.
