Or what is the best possible way?

January 23 - Jan 27, 2007 we would like to celebrate youngest son's bday at Disney.

I can book at home Feb 27th. Now since this is a kind of odd time of year, (no F/W, holiday, etc) I figure this would be a great time to trade out. I would like to trade out to BWV. Now, I did the 7 month window thing and I can either do day by day starting June 26th for 3 of the days (the other 2 fall on the weekend) and June 27th for the last day.

So should I just wait for the 27th to do all 4 days, or call both days?

Now since I won't have enough points to hold both reservations at home and at BWV how do I cancel one to get points avail for the other?

Have never traded out before so any help would be appreciated.

Call for all 4 days on June 28 (not June 27). If all 4 days are available you can cancel the other ressie to use the points for BWV. The 4 days you are requesting are not usually very busy DVC days, so you should have a pretty good chance of getting what you want. Your other options, if all days aren't available, are to borrow points for available days and keep the old ressie until you get what you want (not a good option because the borrowed points could not then be returned to their original use year) or cancel the old ressie days one at a time as BWV days become available, waitlisting for others. This last option has the disadvantage of possibly resulting in days at different resorts if the waitlist does not come through.
IMHO you should be able to get BWV, hopefully all days on June 28. Good luck!

I've never gone that time in January, but I agree with you that you'll most likely be able to get BWV. So, I would book on the Monday and then the Tuesday like you suggest doing, and I would cancel the SSR ressie as I booked the BWV ressie. I don't think the BWV ressie would "disappear" in the time it took to cancel the SSR one.

If you are "worried" about the ressie not being available for all 4 nights, then wait until the Tuesday and try to book the whole thing. If it's not available, then waitlist for the whole stay.

11 months out, we booked VWL for 4 nights in June, and then over Thanksgiving our family suggested that they really want to come to WDW next August :Pinkbounc . Since we had been under the impression that their coming to WDW was years away, we had already used all of our '06 points, so suddenly staying at VWL in June seemed like an extravagance. We couldn't get into BWV standard, so we're booked at OKW and are waitlisted for BWV standard. I wish I had the "guts" to use the waitlist "day by day" because I think it would work, but the thought of possibly moving during a 4 night stay is stopping me. However, in your case, no one else who is using the 7 month window can book that last day before Tuesday, so I think you are safe, if BWV is available on Monday for 3 nights, I think the next day will be available for you on Tuesday.

Best wishes.
