How do I do FP+ and park hopper??

Sorry I haven't been to Disney in 2 years and now we're going Dec. 29th - jan. 1. We got park hopper to make the most of our 2 days in the parks but I'm confused how to do FP+ with a park hopper. It seems I can only pick one park per day to do FP+. Can someone help me?

You can park hop all you want, but your first 3 FP+ reservations have to be at the same park. Some folks rope drop park #1, and then have FP+ waiting at park #2. Other folks like to use FP+ at park #1, and then try for additional FP+ at the kiosks in park #2.

Thank you. So there are still fastpass kiosks in the parks? When can I get more than the 3 I preplanned? It seems like when I try to preplan now, all the fastpasses are in the afternoon already.

There are FP+ kiosks in the parks, but they are in "central" locations and not at the actual attractions like before. You can get another FP+ once your initial 3 are used (or expired).

I just tried to move my FP's up to earlier in the day so I can get FP's at the next park I hop to but I can't. The mine train is only available 10:35-11:35pm. So, now I don't know what to do.

You can keep trying for 7DMT to try to get an earlier time, but that can be a several times a day till the day before effort. The ride is popular, I'm surprised you were able to get it at all.

Keep in mind that often, the kiosks do not have availability for headlining attractions like the mountains, or Soarin, or TSMM, etc. We've found it better to rope drop and take advantage of low stand by waits at the first park, and make the FP+ reservations for the second park when waits will be higher. Then you won't need to cross your fingers that the ride you want is available at the time you want on the kiosk.
