How do I buy more points if...

I already have some.

I'm purchasing a resale with over the minimum 150 points right now. Could I purchase another resale for 100 points at a different home resort with a different use year? Would that be an add-on, new contract or new membership?

Though we sometimes here refer to "adding on" via a resale, it is actually a new contract.

We bought points from Disney. We then bought points at a different home resort through resale. We have two membership numbers, two sets of DVC cards, two mailings, etc.

The 150 point minimum only applies to buying directly from DVC.
My brother bought a 100 point resale with a different use year than his original DVC, and has a second membership # for it.
They might be a little less lenient in ROFR though. For example, if someone was buying a 50 point resale and had no other DVC, it might be tough to get past ROFR.

Dvc_John brings up an interesting point. I wanted to make my first purchase through resale, so I could pay cash. My proposed 50 point contract was shot down by ROFR, but my second 80 point contract survived. I wonder if they scrutinize 50 and under more carefully.
