I've just been browsing the waltdisney website for some package prices. We are starting to plan a trip for next May.

Out of curiousity, I wanted to get a price quote for Wilderness Lodge Concierge level.Would that be the same as DELUXE room?
Other than that I didn't see an option.

And, since we will be going with the Dream Maker + Silver Plan, and will be using our wishes for meals, I'm wondering if going concierge level would be a waste ? We likely would not be hungary for any of the food/snack offerings they have . What do you think?

Thanks

WL is a deluxe hotel. I know many guest buy the packages but I really believe and have seen that you save money by booking it by the piece. If you are thinking about concierge then this is definitely a better route for you. I have seen so many guest pushed into eating constantly so they can use all their meal vouchers. When in the long run they probably spent more with the package then they would of if they had just done everything separately.
It really is your comfort level.

Concierge level is NOT the same as a deluxe room. The deluxe rooms are what used to be called a junior suite. Just a larger room. You are going to have to call Disney to get a quote on concierge.

Don't forget that you can ask Dreams Unlimited Travel to get you a quote (they're the owners of the Dis): click here for Dreams Unlimited Travel's website. I have used Dreams many times and they have been wonderful to work with. Also, if a discount becomes available for your stay, Dreams will apply the new rate right away. I find that THE most incredible feature -- Disney's CRO or WDTC has NEVER done that for any of my stays.

This is all my humble opinion, and others' opinions may vary, as it should be. :D

I have not done the Silver Plan; however, I have done the Grand Plan (today it is called the Platinum Plan). Was being in a concierge room in the Grand Floridian a waste of money since my family was on the Grand Plan? Yes. If I remember correctly, we only visited the concierge lounge once or twice and that was only for a lemonade or a soda pop. However, it was nice to sit down in the lounge and relax for a few minutes on our way back from the theme parks. Would I book a concierge room again while on a vacation plan? That’s a tough question. I would have to say it depends upon what sort of vacation experience I wanted for my family. I think that’s what you’re going to have to ask yourself, too. If you will be so busy that you won’t be in the resort much, then maybe you should shy away from booking a concierge room. However, if you will be spending some time in the resort, then maybe a concierge room is for you. After all, you can grab a drink or a snack when the mood suits you, and you can utilize the services of a concierge Cast Member for any of those last minute arrangements that you might have.

No matter what you decide to do, have a magical vacation.

What a TERRIFIC post Janet2k !!!!!! Thankyou very much for sharing your family's experience with me.

I was filling in my DH this evening on what rates I have found so far.He does want me to go ahead and check on the price of Concierge level with the Dream Maker + Silver plan just to see what we are looking at.

The first time we went to Disney we did the grand plan, last year we did the silver plan. So, we are kind of spoiled, and LOVE the thrill of whipping out a room card to "pay" for meals.
I have told him we could more than surely go cheaper if we booked each component seperately, and then just saved up cash for our meals.
But he thinks its easier to pay everything off in advance and then not worry what you are spending every day and having to end up budgeting the last few days.

So, if I book now, I'll have a good 9 months to pay off our trip ;)
