How do DDP credits work with Grand Villa?

We'll have three seperate families staying in a Grand Villa. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a way that the DDP credits can be divided per family on our cards and not per "room". Or since the GV is considered a 3 room is that how it automatically works? It sure would be a hassle to try to figure out credits between ten people! Also the cards allow you to charge purchases--can that be per family? I sure hope so! I appreciate any information on this subject!

These things are set up per reservation, not per family. All credits will be on all cards, and from my expereinces in a two bedroom shared with family members only one card could be placed on the resort cards for charging. I know this may be a bit selfish, but since it was my reservation and my points I had my cards and DH's set up withthe charging privs. Mom and Dad had to carry their CC which was not an inconvienience at all. Tracking the DDP credits was abit harder, but I just asked that everyone hold onto reciepts and use a sheet that I had lefto ont eh counter to acocunt for their credits--a few minutes of time for each family, but a way to track all credits and be sure no one was getting more or less than they were supposed to.

Thanks for the info! I'm sure you asked and they couldn't arrange any other way, huh? It seems kind of crazy that with technology today that they couldn't(won't) seperate it by family group. We'll be eating most TS meals together and probably even CS meals but the snack credits sure will get out of hand--our family plans on saving many of our snacks for our last day there when we go to the Food and Wine Festival. Maybe we'll forget the DDP after all. It's starting to sound like more trouble than it's worth with three families on one reservation! :sad1:

Does anyone know why they pool all the credits on one reservation? I mean, I guess it makes sense as long as all the people are in the same family, but otherwise it's a pain. :headache:
Has anyone asked Disney and had any success with getting them to divide the credits by family? Same question about charges to the card. I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks!

If you think about it, a majority of the accommodations at WDW are really considered "one family" type rooms. It doesn't make sense for them to have and maintain another layer of programming to separate credits/charging within a single reservation, as it really wouldn't be used enough to justify the cost.

We have a 2 bedroom at BCV booked for dec. 2007. My dad is the dvc holder and he called last week about this. My sister and her family will be in the 2nd room with my parents. They said that he could set up different CCs for each family. So my sister and her family could put their cc down for their KTTW cards and my parents could put down their cc for their KTTW cards. They then said that the KTTW cards would show up the dining credits separately. I don't know this can be done b/c it's BCV or what. But he was told by two separate CMs this could be done. I would call member services directly and ask them about it. Then ask again at checkin. My dad was told that he and my sister would have to be present when checking in to get the cc and kttw cards correct.
