DH and I haven't flown in 23 years (since I developed a fear of flying and I'm the vacation planner ;)) and we always drive to WDW from MD. But one of my sons moved to LA and has been wanting us to visit him.

I am thinking of going to LA for spring break (first week of April 2012) so that we can take my youngest for his senior year and 18th birthday (he's never flown or been to CA, but I know he'll love it).

Anyway, my question is how hard do you think it will be to get a 1 bdrm for 3 (S-Th) nights at the 7 month mark during spring break?

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

I think that you have a resonable chance because the points are so high at that time and many travellers are wiating until summer when Carsland opens. Also, 1 BRs tend to be the easiest to get. You may need to WL, however, but there are lots of cash options that you will be able to book as a back-up. -- Suzanne
