Summer is quite busy at Disneyland! How difficult you think it is getting GCV at exactly 7 mos, 1 BR? 2 yrs ago did Disneyland, San Diego! Loved, loved that trip!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Thanks!:cool1::cool1:

We got a 1 bedroom last year at the end of June when I called at the 7 month mark. I called right at 9AM. Good luck!

Will try at 7 mos..Will probably be tough because I'm looking for August!

How did you like GCV? Was almost open when we were staying at the GC Hotel! Looked really nice!

Does GCV have their own pool or is it a shared pool with GC hotel?

Thanks! We had such an awesome vacation that yr..Split our time in San Diego! What a fun trip!:goodvibes:goodvibes

I was nervous enough about trying to get VGC at 7 months for next August (2012) that I had another Dis-er transfer VGC points to me so I can book at the 11 month mark. We're booking a studio, though, which is harder to get than a 1 BR. Good luck! :goodvibes

I stayed there the first week of May in a studio I booked at 7 months. I really liked it.

I like the idea of a transfer of points, rather than "renting" points..
I like "control" over my vacation better in transferring rather than renting..

Everyone has a different perspective though understandably...

I will try at 7 mos out the first day possible...Maybe we'll be lucky! Summer months at Disneyland are very much in demand as is the case with WDW!
Kids are out of school...I think August is especially popular..We like to vacation in August as a "wind up" to the summer..

Hope you are lucky with your studio for August, 2012 as well! You though can book in September! Good Luck!:wizard:

We got a 2BR there last year for a week in August at 7 months. We loved not having to take buses anywhere. The hotel is amazing.

One thing we did that I would recommend is get fast passes to the Grizzly River Run in California Adventure. Sit at the pool at the VGC until your time, walk into the park, do the ride and then head back to the pool. Everything is so close by it's great.

Something to look at for August is what days are blocked out for the Southern California Annual Pass holders. While the parks are crowded all summer, they are even more so when the block out is lifted in the later half of August and the locals can use their AP's again.

Thank you! Best of luck to you, too. This will be our first ever trip to Disneyland, and we will celebrate our son's 7th birthday while there. He is a Cars nut, so we planned the trip to conincide with the opening of Carsland. The point transfer went flawlessly. I highly recommend it, if you can find a VGC owner with some extra points. :goodvibes

Are 2BRs hard to get at 7 months for June? We're thinking of doing a CA trip next year, and might stay in VGC for a few days.

I have the same question! We want to go to Disneyland in early June of 2013 and it seems risky to wait it out since we will only have one resort to book at in CA. We would be traveling with extended family and would like to have 3 two bedroom units and 1 one bedroom unit. I am afraid that is too much to ask at 7 months...

Of course, the one thing working for us would be that lots of people will want to see the new Fantasyland expansion at WDW.
