How difficult is it to get to other resorts for meals?

We are staying at Pop and while I would love to go to some of the other resorts for meals, my dh thinks that it would be too difficult.

A couple that I would like to do are Chef Mickey's and Ohana

Thanks,
Melissa

These two you mention are VERY easy to reach from MK. You might want to schedule meals at 'Ohana or CM's on your MK day(s). 'Ohana is also very easy to reach from Epcot (Epcot monorail to TTC, 5 minute walk to GCH). The best way to reach these from Pop would be taxi...second best is to take the Pop resort bus to MK and then the monorail to either CR or 'Ohana. It shouldn't be difficult at all, and IMO well worth the time to visit these great restaurants.

Have fun!

Both of these are on the monorail loop with the Magic Kingdom so they are not hard at all. If you are not driving while at WDW, you would just take a bus from POP to the Magic Kingdom and then pick up the monorail there and head over to the Contemporary (Chef Mickey's) or the Poly (Ohana). Definitely schedule those meals for day(s) that you are going to be spending at Magic Kingdom and you will not be adding much time or hassle onto your day.

On our last trip, we did exactly the two meals that you are thinking of. We did Chef Mickey's for dinner on our arrival day, so we could spend most of the day at MK and do a quick monorail hop to dinner. And don't forget to ask to sit up front with the monorail pilot. It's a great way to arrive at Chef Mickey's.

We did Ohana on another MK day when we took an afternoon swim break at the resort, took the bus back to MK, then the monorail to the Poly. Then after dinner, to head back to the MK, we took the boat launch from the Poly and got to see a rainbow over the Contemporary. A very cool transportation day! :thumbsup2

It just depends on where you are going to. Actually Chef Mickey's and 'Ohana aren't that bad to get to, because you can take the monorail from the Mk to both of them.

As for other resorts that are not as conveinent to get to...you just have to plan ahead and give yourself enough time. It is nice to visit different resorts and especially if it is a restaurant that you really want to go to.

As others have said, it's not that difficult to get to those two restaurants. However, I will add that you don't necessarily have to do those on your Magic Kingdom day. You can easily go over to Epcot after your meal via the monorail. Or, you can take the resort bus to either MGM or Animal Kingdom. If you are returning to Pop Century after the meal, take the bus back from the Magic Kingdom.

Exactly what others have said - and I would add that Epcot area resorts are easily walked to from the back entrance of Epcot.:)

When we ate at a resort restaurant (not on the monorail). We took the DTD bus, as the busses are so close to transfer. Then took the bus to the resort we were eating at.

We went to Ohana, Boma, Chef Mickey @ the resorts while we stayed at CSR. We didn't plan specifically for the days we were in the parks close to the restaurants but we just made sure we had enough time to get there. Usually we allowed an hour and were always on time! Good luck.

We planned our dinners based on where we were for the day and used the monorails to get to Chef Mickeys, Ohana and 1900 Park Fare. Very easy, just takes a little planning,
