How did you tell your DH?

I wanted to tell my h, but he was too impatient. He went to check the stick before the time was up. It was obvious even then.
The second time I made him wait and we found out together.

Congratulations. :)

With our dd, I waited until he was sitting down watching tv and I kinda blurted it out. With our ds, I waited until he was watching tv and I handed him a positive pregnancy test. I had to tell him that time before our dd did. She knew before her daddy did.

I wanted to tell him a different way, but he wouldn't cooperate with the way I wanted to tell him.

Congrats on baby #3.:)

Congratulations..:D

In both pregnancies, DH knew first. I made him look at the stick first and tell me the results. :p

Congratulations onecoolmama! :)

I just blurted it to my husband - but for my mom we did something really neat. We put a hot dog bun in the oven (got it out of the freezer). When she came to our house for a visit we asked her if she could check the thing in the oven. She opened the oven, took the bun out and looked at it like what the heck is this? We said "what is it?" she said "a cold bun" we said "take off the word cold" she said "its a bun" we said "where was it?" she said "in the oven - OH MY GOD ARE YOU PREGNANT?!!?". It was the coolest thing. We got some great pictures.

Other ideas:

Serve an extra plate at dinner - when he asks who its for tell him your family is growing.

Go out to eat - sneak away from the table and ask the hostess to bring a high chair to the table. Then see if he figures it out.

Cook a meal of baby items - baby chickens (cornish hens), baby carrots, etc.

Buy a pair of baby shoes and put them in one of your shoe boxes. Tell him you went shopping - does he want to see your new shoes?

Get removable tattoos that say "Im Pregnant" and put one on your tummy. I think this site has them: www.bestbabyshower.com/bellydoodles.html

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You could buy a Valentine's Card that says "Happy Valentine's Day, Daddy" and sign it from baby #3. Congrats again on your new little prince or princess on the way! :earsboy: :earsgirl:

With DD#1 we stared at the PT, held it up under a light to make sure we both agree it was positive.

With DD#2 I felt some nausea in New Year's Day and ran downstairs. I don't know what posessed me to do a PT but I did and it was definitely positive. BTW we weren't trying, DD#1 was only 4 months old, I was nursing and had never gotten a period. I went to tell DH but he already knew. He and DD were "talking " about it.

Congratulations to you!!! How very exciting!!

I found out on Valentine's day of 2001 that I was pregnant ~ it was a total surprise since we hadn't been able to get pregnant for years after having our first child.

I already had a Valentine's Day card for my DH from my DS. So I opened the card up & next to DS's name I added the words:
"and Baby L" ("L" is the first letter of our last name). Boy was he ever surprised. He was sooooooo not expecting it that I had to spell it out for him. He just didn't get it by reading the card.

I think we were both in shock for the first few months.
