It is so neat to hear everyone's stories!
Here is ours........
DF and I met on a christian dating site. We were both raised in christian homes and we were tryin to find someone who shared the same beliefs.
Ok.........
I married my high school sweetheart of six years when I was 20. After four months I found out that he had not been faithful.....to make a long story short.....it ended. I was a girl who never believed in divorce, and I tried to make the marriage work, but he wanted no part of it.
DF had just gotten out of a six year relationship with a girl, and it ended pretty sour as well.
So, needless to say we were both at a point in life, where we didnt really believe in love or "forever" because we had both been burned and very hurt by people we loved.
So.....I made the first move. I lived in Ohio and he in Indiana. I saw his profile and he sounded too good to be true so I took a shot and sent him an e-mail. He e-mailed me back the next day and then he IM'ed me. We began chatting and he said when he saw I was divorced he thought about not responding. But, he said he didn't want to judge a book by its cover, so he gave it a shot. It took no time at all for us to realize that God had put us int he right place at the right time....
We met two weeks later in person.....i moved to Indy five months after that....we were engaged 9 months after we met in person.
Fun facts:
- The first place we laid eyes on eachother was in a Wal-Mart parking lot!
- He told me he loved me before we even met in person (that is how much we knew we were meant for eachother.......)
- When he got my first e-mail he was logging into the site to delete his profile, because he was going to give up dating for a year until he finished school.
- He had never searched anywhere but Indianapolis because he was not interested in a long distance relationship.
- We met our exes on the same day and broke up with our exes only two days apart.....odd.........
- i told him the first night we met in person (jokingly of course...but not really....obviously...

) "If you are not interested in having a Disney wedding....then we need to end this now.....cause that is where I am getting married" - I am serious....I actually said that!
