How did you find the DISboards?

Way back when, I used AOL discussion groups for the most part. Then, at the WDW boards there, they had a humoungous blow-out. It got very boring at that point, so I followed a few others over here...never went back to AOL!!!!

I discovered the DIS a year ago while planning our Disney cruise. My family, friends and coworkers have dubbed me the Master Googler. I can google anything.

On a side note...ironically this is my 1000th post!!!!!!!!!

I found the main site these board are on when trying to find some info for our trip in 2004, but I did not find the DIS boards until I was looking up something for a day trip for my son and I in March, 2005. Both times I found the site through a google search.

My dd told me about it. Her friend told her about it, then I told my other dd about it and my son. We are just one happy DIS family! We all love it for the great info. I'm hooked on the exchanges too!

My mom told me about it around this time last year when I was planning my trip with DFi (his first trip). I was a lurker then and joined after our trip in Aug 05 but still only lurked. I didn't post anything until planning the trip this past year starting in November or so. Then DFi would never see me b/c I was always here.

I just discovered the community board last month though it was mostly Theme Parks, Resorts, and Food for me prior.

I saw the URL while looking through the UG book, checked it out, and have gotten more tips and help than I could have ever imagined finding. Now, whenever I run across anyone planning a trip to Disney, I send them to the DIS boards. If I worked on commission for all the folks I've sent here, I'd have a lot of Disney trips paid for!

Me, too! Bought UG to research a trip in 2004 and found DIS, Mousesavers, and a few more from the web section. Now, I can't imagine how I got through life without the DIS!! I, too, tell everyone I know to check out the DIS if I find out they are planning a trip.

I found DIS from mycoupons dot com.. I still go on there from time to time.. there is a board for traveling and I was planning on going to WDW and someone mentioned this board on there..

I used to frequent About.com and delphiforums, and when I started planning my trip last spring, some of my About friends pointed me in this direction. While I still like About.com, I've since defected to the DIS for my main forum.

Started out on the trip planning boards, but it didn't take me too long to find the CB and to realize how much I love the wide diversity of people here.

I just randomly came up with one just so I could post some questions. Until I actually bought DVC, I never ventured off the DVC boards. Once I ventured out I became hooked on the place I came up with a more Disneyesque name.
