How Did You Create Your DIS Name?

Born and raised in the city... fate intervened and I suddenly found myself married to a farmer and living in rural Louisiana!

I'm guessing mine doesn't need any explanation. :rolleyes1

Unfortunately, it caused a bit of trouble when I used it on a game that went through facebook but didn't have my actual name attached. (I'm lazy and didn't want to spend the time thinking of a new name just to play a game) I "invited" my boys to play with me and after a few days I asked them why they wouldn't play with me. They both said they thought a drug dealer was trying to get to them. Ooops!

I usually and regularly quote Ralph Kramden from the Honeymooners. One day many many years ago during a "fun" discussion with DW...I stated,

"A mans home is his castle, and in his castle he is the KING".

Her reply was..."trust me, you are more like Goofy. You will never be the King in this house."

And i was then born...KINGGOOFY !!!!!:woohoo:

It was my VMK name. I created the name when I was creating my main character at WDW (Back when they actually had a VMK central), and the name kinda stuck with me for the past five/six years.

My name is Candy. When I was little, my Grandma would ask, " What are the best kind of kisses? Then she'd answer, "Candy kisses".

Not very original, but every time I see Candykisses I smile and think how much I loved that old woman.

Before I moved to Canada, I grew up in a town in Ireland called Newry so therefore I am newrygirl:goodvibes

WDW movie Dinosaur. DS 1st movie. He was the hero Aladar. I was the bad dino Carnotaurus (different spelling). He was 2 and a half. He would jump on my back and defeat the bad dino.

Avalon is the island from the legend of King Arthur, where he was taken after he was injured, and from which he promised to return one day. I've always loved that story, and since I live in a place named after it, it just seemed to fit. Toon is in honor of cartoon characters everywhere, but especially in Disney's Toontown and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. This live-action world of ours needs more Toons!

Well, I'm HouCuseChickie on some other boards, but it wasn't until I signed on here that it hit me that I should have a Disney name. :lmao:

Donald is my favorite character, but I couldn't come up with anything that either wasn't taken or that didn't make me sound like a really obnoxious bird. :rotfl:

Prince John is my fave villain, but the one things I came up with and really liked- still sounded kind of ...well, wrong.

So, Tigger is my favorite Pooh related character and my name comes from a game my girls have. It has this Tigger in the middle (bouncing on his tail) and the kids have to hang different things off of him- like umbrellas, butterfly nets, clothes, etc. If they put too much on him, he bounces up and makes a springy sound. The girls sometimes call that bouncing up and noise his TiggerTrigger- i.e. they set him off and it makes them laugh hysterically. :goodvibes

Mine is part homage to my mum (it was her nickname in her first job) and part down to being a Scouser who is a fan of the mouse! 09 was the year I stopped lurking to post on the Disboards :)

simply put Jiminy has always been my fav since I was a child watching the original MMC. I'm no fool!!! :thumbsup2

Mine is a combination of our last name and other initials. I joined the boards in 2003 when I was looking for information about Disneyland. If I knew how much I would love Disboards I would have picked something else, but I am now stuck with it LOL!

I got mine from the Widow Patecleaver in the Haunted Mansion Stretching Portraits. Except I'm not a widow. Or married. :) I always wish I knew a name for the parasol girl.

How cute some of these names are! I didn't think of making a Disney name since I hadn't yet been there when I joined and I didn't know I would fall in love with WDW ... and then I was just too lazy to change.

The meaning of life is cats and my oldest cat was Snowflake -- but I couldn't leave out the others so the "s" is for the other cats. Snowflake Cats without any vowels!

This is a great thread and now I have to read some more of the posts!!!! :thumbsup2

Mine came from the first trip we ever took to WDW. We used a travel agent, and when I went to pick up the the travel packet, the agent that gave it to me said "Oh, you're going to Dizzyworld."

(Much better than the other agent who called it "Dismal World."
