How did you choose your VMK name?

Talons is the name of my rep soccer team. Favorite sport, and my closest friends are on that team, so overall it's love

Ok here is my boring story. My sister (Peasy in vmk) and her girls played vmk and introduced me to it. I logged in and got my first request of "AuntieJulie" so the girls would know who i was. The girls always call me Auntie and Julie being my first name.

I played with this character for 6 months and then vmk made me change it. I knew that day would come sooner or later because many in the game started warning me about the personal nature of the real name and the family relationship reference.

So as soon as i got the dreaded, "you must change your vmk title" box when i logged in one day, I was ready for my next choice which is the one i have today...antjewel. I know, a dictionary dance. My only regret is that i forgot to capitalize it and make it AntJewel.

My mother always called me her little jewel so it reminds me of her too.

As for my Dis name, jeffgwins, that is because i am a NASCAR Jeff Gordon fan.

I remember when I heard your title before, I seriously was thinking it had something to do with an Ant. Now, I know better
As for Jeff Gordon ... Hmmm, all I have to say is Tony Stewart so owns!!! Used to be a Rusty fan until he retired

I originally signed up a character for my daughter. She loves the Disney Princesses and her favorite is Sleeping Beauty so I chose her first name Aurora and I chose sparkle because it reminded me of one of my daughter's Sleeping Beauty play dresses with the sparkles on it...Aurorasparkle. Anyhow, I ended up playing the character more than my daughter and started to make friends on the list so I decided that I would just keep this character and sign my daughter up with a new character...Angelicasparkle. Angelica is from the Rugrats (another one of her favorite characters) and I just chose sparkle since I used it with the first character.

Well- had no clue what to use when I first started, so I took my daughter's first initial 'h', my son's first initial 'd', and my nicknames for them - my son's nickname is monkey and my daughter's is bug- that's how hdmonkeybug was born

I am Melp in some form at pretty much anything I do. It is a nickname friends gave me in school and it has stuck since pretty much. Why Melp? part first name and part last of course Of course I get people all the time teasing that I must have mistyped help lol .

Well, when I was younger, on the softball and swim teams, they use to call me and my sister patch, because of our last name, which the first syllable of our name is Patch (it's a polish, long name ). Also Patch was my favorite dog from 101 dalmatians. Then I was thinking, how I liked pirates... and I thought of Patchy the Pirate from spongebob. Well that kinda caught on a year and a half later, when I went to college. One of my friends got caught of my VMK name and she started calling me Patchy, now everybody at school does

Oh gross! You like "smoke"? (Tony's nickname) LOL JK! We can agree to disagree on that one. But if there were no rivalry then NASCAR would be boring right?

As for my vmk name, i get a few people asking me in the game, "what is an ant jewel?" i tell them that when they find out to let me know. But i like being a "beta ant" in pirates when i turn into the row boat!

And yes, it makes me laugh when people call me Jeff here on the dis and say "him, or he". A lot think i am a guy because of my dis name. I just giggle about it.

LOL at so many of these stories I love this thread! Mine is just because my favorite word in the whole wide world is BUBBLE (you cannot be sad when you just randomly say Bubble!) And plus it's always been my nickname lol. All my girl clones have the word "bubble" at least in their log in names (before Vmk came up with the silly new naming system and made all my clones who hadn't made the transition from Guest to actual name yet change their titles.. sigh -_-). Random side note, all my boy clones' log-in names have Nacho in them! That would be courtesy of my DH, PunkPrinz, who likes nachos and who tried to relive his youth in picking his VMK title (I feel so sorry for our kids when they get old enough to play VMK, having a dad whose name sounds like that of a pre-teen goth).

Well, here's mine : Before I started playing Vmk , I played Runescape with my kids. Eventually I had enough of the vulgarity and said we weren't playing it anymore. Unfortunately, we had made some pretty good friends that we wanted to keep in touch with. Being a careful mom of 3 daughters, I wasn't about to give out my email address or phone number so i logged into RS to just say hi & whatever. Fast forward to our 1st WDW trip the september after VMK opens and we find the pamphlets for vmk. We get home and log in ( took about 2 hours lol). Well back on point... my RS name was MAYLADY ( bc my birthday is in may and lady fit with the whole rs theme). So i wanted MAYLADY for my vmk name but it wasn't accepted. I also tried MYLADY and MYGIRL. Finally i typed in maygirl and they said that was taken that i could chose a suffix to add. ACE, ASTRO, etc Well, i love love swash swash buckle buckle type stories so i chose AVAST. Lo and behold AVASTMAYGIRL was born! As a side note Faeriepink was my character as well at 1 time. But i can't remember if she was before or after avastmaygirl. My DD now uses that character when she plays. Another side note : the friends from RS - DON"T EVEN PLAY VMK!!!! they gave it a try and found it too boring. Happily i now have some of the most wonderful ppl in the world as my friends on vmk.
