How did you choose your VMK name?

I tried to use my DISboard name for VMK but it wouldn't let me. I then chose Eddiesgal ... simple enough, my DH's name is Eddie. When that name was deemed unsuitable by VMK, I chose Lady-Sparkle. Sparkle is our business name


I'm sure everyone has a story behind their name, satisfy my curiosity and share why you chose it.

Last name's Emery (VMK hasn't quite caught on, but I'm not complaining).

And Pirate before that had a nice ring to it. I didn't know that there were nearly 20 people that also had the same cool format.

Lo and behold, it has become my Moniker. My alias. My Universal Username.

Gmail, Ain't it Cool News, XBOX Live. They all now sport my PirateEmery username.

The funny part? I can't even get it for the DIS: someone had already bagged it.

My VMK Name ...

AstroGigiblue the same, as it is on Dis. Easy enough.

Well ... since I had never really thought of a "screen name" EVER before, I had no idea. So, I just wanted Gigi. Which is my nickname. Evidently, that was already used in VMK. So VMK asked me what was my favorite color ... answer Blue.
VMK made up the first (Astro) and last (blue) part of my title. I only really wanted the middle part. Where Astro comes from? I have no idea. I have seen a lot of Astros, Aces, etc. walking about. So I think before VMK rolled out the new way they come up with titles, is what you were assigned for the first portion of your choice, if you were clueless, as I was.
Lesson learned ... really think about a name you want with you, for the duration of the time you play vmk ...
Everyone just calls me Astro, which is fine

I picked AstroStan because my favorite land in Magic Kingdom is Tomorrowland, and one of my favorite rides is Space Mountain. I don't know why i picked Stan though. I just thought AstroStan had a nice ring to it I guess. I wish i had picked something that had more of a disney park sound to it, but oh well, I like AstroStan a lot anyway

the story to my name is quite short. When vmk first started i had troubles with getting on the same account, so i just made a ton, and never had a permanent one because for some reason i couldn't figure out how to play it on my mac lol. So after several temporary names like kingcarter (random), crazycarter (more random, but makes sense), and others and i finally found the best one because of where i live, making my name express who i am. Since i live in a fairly small but popular surf town (where rob machado started his pro surf career and also where tony hawk mainly lives and skates). Considering that i decided to name myself surfercarter, but soon i relized that i already used that name from my temporary accounts... and soon ended up with acesurfercarter... but mainly people call my carter i think..

Well i had the name squawkin for my first account. because i always liked squawkin it was a fun thing to say and fun to use in sentances! But for my first account i didnt think i would love vmk that much so i made it a boy account so i could dress up as freddie mercury and queen members... so i did that and i got tired of being a boy so i decided to make a girl account and since squawkin was already taken by me i decided to think of something. One of my favorite books is "Otherwise known as shela the great" and shelas friend that she made in the book was named mouse (or maybe that was her nickname) and i thought of something mice do. The squeak and so i though of Ms.Squeakers.... im totally random like that i guess so my story isnt as kewl as yours but like thats my story

Spongeblair was just something I came up with I was a HUGE HUGE Fan of Spongebob (nothing's changed) I tried Spongebob but someone already had it so I changed the "Bob" to my name "Blair". I now use this name everywhere thanks to VMK.

How weird!! That's just usually the reaction of people when they see how I act in real life ... and on VMK sometimes. Then it's also bc my name's Howard so I would say it's a nice play on words. I am pretty weird though the question is ... how weird?

I've been going by "Dznygrl" ever since I started playing around on the internet (at the TIME it seemed original and the internet was a lot smaller back then, ok? ). So when I was making a VMK account, I was ready to use it. Alas, it was already taken. And this was only a few short days after beta began. So instead of sitting around trying to think of something totally new I just added an 'i', thus becoming DIZNYGRL.
