Hi everyone!

I currently have a booking with Ken and asked him how much and if it was possible to upgrade to a 2 bed pres from a deluxe.

He said he can't do it due to lack of points.

Can I ask who you booked your presidential unit through, what size unit you booked at what nightly rate you were quoted?

Many thanks!:thumbsup2

I have seen Lori at Sun or Snow Vacation rentals advertise a presidential on her site. Not sure is she has enough points or if this was a great last minute deal off season. We have rented through her 2 times..though in a deluxe both times....nice units.

I think she only rents though within the 60 day last minute window. There is a 3 br pres on her site right now for a week in July at $228.

They have more square footage, slightly more upscale furniture, carpet and drapes. The mattress, bedding and towels I found the same.

They do have granite countertops, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and full size washer and drier.

The closets were slightly larger and more convenient (walk in in living room), just seemed larger in the bedroom. There is also a lot of storage in the kitchen, a very large dining table and 3 wooden stools along the bar. The deluxe units have bar stools too, but they are metal and heavy and I just thought they were more in the way.

The bathtub is definitely larger.

My favorite thing was the BOSE surround sound system in the living room and the table top Bose in the bedroom. I never turned them off.

I booked through Ken but the only thing that was available less than 60 days out was a 1 bedroom presidential and I only needed 5 days.

I liked parking in the garage beyond tower 6.

I have also stayed in buildings 4 and 5 and 3. I think 3 was my least favorite but it rained the entire time we stayed there (May 2009) and that was our first stay.

Now that I know the lay of the land, I like the whole resort better, particularly the location of the entire resort.

I much prefer the lazy river behind the main building. The landscaping is more mature and trees hang over the river for shade. The deck chairs are not as nice but I don't really use them-I am in the lazy river. This lazy river seems lexx popular than the one behind Tower 5 with fewer kids.

I have never been in the actual summer, just three times in May, once in March before spring break, once in September.

My opinions my change is full fledged summer. It was a very quick walk and I made it every day between tower 6 and the lazy river behind the main building.

I did like the presidential a bit more than the deluxe and would probably try to book it first during future trips if available. I really liked the 3 bedroom deluxe we stayed in May 2010. That one was a high floor unit on the end and I could see fireworks and Fantasmic. The balcony was large as I remember.

I have some DVC points and like Wyndham bonnet creek almost as much as the boardwalk, not quite.
