How did this little boy get stuck up in a hot air balloon?

Is anyone watching the news? There is a little six year old boy stuck in a hot air balloon ALONE over Denver. Nobody knows how to get him down. How did this happen???

It didn't. He was hiding in his attic, not in the balloon.
