I was trying to find a thread already about this but couldn't find any. Also, it's a great excuse to try posting a new thread on the new DIS!!! ;) :teeth:

I thought it was ok, though I really don't know her music very well.

It was a little uninspired. I mean I like her and know her music but, I don't know, just didn't do anything for me. She was very well behaved though.:littleangel:

I enjoyed it, I loved seeing Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elloitt(who is from my state a couple cities away), plus I like Katy Perry.

It was fine. Energetic...fun etc. It was Idina Menzel's nat'l anthem that was like nails on a chalkboard to us.

I'm not what you call a fan of hers, but the production was actually really cool, particularly the first and second segments. The robo-lion thing and the LED stage were really cool, and I kinda liked the singing beach-balls (very Disney-ish). I never noticed before, but Katy's face just has no emotion on it, like a blank look t entire time. I dunno, I'm an "old fogey" who would have rather them grabbed Paul McCartney out of the stands for the halftime show, but it was still better than expected.

I really enjoyed the show. The lion in the beginning was cool. I thought she was a good choice to appease a general wide ranging audience but the way people are roasting Katie Perry I guess not.
Before last night, I had no idea who Missy Elliot was. Probably because I don't enjoy that style of music. I pretty much stopped paying attention until Katie returned.

I thought it was a pretty tasteful and well done halftime show. I like a couple of Katy's songs, but had no idea who Missy Elliott was and now I know why - I don't care for her kind of music. I liked the robotic lion. :)

Meh. I don't really expect to appreciate halftime acts any more, they're too young and pop-y for my tastes, but at least I didn't feel like I should cover my 6yo's eyes like I did with the Beyoncé halftime show. And the 13yo got a kick out of "Cinna" playing guitar since she had no idea that Lenny Kravitz was a musician. But as far as pop halftimes I thought Bruno Mars/RHCP was better.

Katy was okay. I wish Lenny had played some of his own music though, and not just a part of one of Katy's songs. He should have been out longer.

I like Katy songs but I will have to say her show was just ok. It didn't seem to be cohesive to me and at some points it felt like she was the guest and not the main performer. When Lenny and Missy came out, it felt like she was the background singer. It was definitely awkward to see her dancing with Missy as well. I will say her effects were great, but she always has great effects/production. Its just her singing and choreography are not quite there. My all time favs were Beyonce and Bruno (I know Michael/Prince/etc are beloved by many, but that wasn't during my time). I am hoping that the rumors of Rihanna or Kanye/Jay Z for next year are true. Kanye may be crazy but he puts on a great show as does Jay Z which I was surprised when I saw him in concert.

I liked Katy and thought the props where very imaginative!!! I didn't know who Missy was, I do now. Her music was okay, but it's not the type that I usually listen to.

Well I liked it, because to me it felt more like what a halftime show is supposed to be. I miss the days of fun props, sets, and extra performers. Ever since Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction they've been too afraid to do much of anything other than just have someone stand on a stage and perform.

I liked it a lot. I thought he lion was very creative at the beginning. I also loved Missy Elliott. Love her song Work It.

I enjoyed it. Plus, I was impressed that she was able to change her clothes so quickly!

That impressed me too! But I just thought the show was meh. Although the last song with her flying thru the air with the fireworks going off was pretty cool.

I loved it! I like KP anyway, but when Missy came out----whooooooo boy! Took me right back to high school. I think the show really catered to the mid 20's to mid 30's crowd.
