How crowded will Epcot be with The Beach Boys there?

It's going to be busier. We went last May during the Flower and Garden when some band I never heard of was playing. It was a Monday and the World Showcase was packed because of the band. I think the name of the band was Simple Plan. I was told they have a huge following. Touring Plan predicted a 6 crowd level and it ended being a 9. This is the Beach Boys!
I understand what you are saying, but there is one hell of a difference between a more recent band and the Beach Boys. Most of their fan base would be very geriatric, like myself, and we don't get out much like we used too. The crowds might be slightly larger, but a whole lot slower so traffic may hold you back from time to time.

Just booked one night at OKW for 11/17 just to see the Beach"Boys". I saw that the Eat to the Beat dining packages start on July 16th. Does the 60 day dining reservation rule apply to these packages?

I think you are underestimating the appeal of the Beach Boys. Epcot crowd level will be at least an 8 those days.

Actually, I am probably overestimating the ability of fans and bands to know when it is time to quit or get a life. My absolute favorite band was the Beatles and in spite of that I can't even begin to understand why anyone would pay hundreds of dollars to see Paul McCartney in concert. Yes, he is a musical genius, but a genius should know when it is time to hang it up. I can't stand to listen to him sing anymore because right now I can sing better than him and I sure wouldn't be able to charge a thousand dollars for a front row seat. I might be able to charge that if it is close to the exit. Paul should sit home and write new music for others to perform and keep his songwriting gift alive. Of course, that is my opinion, just like my original post was just a humorous opinion that no one should have attached any credence too.

I went to see McCartney in concert in 2017. Guy played for 3 hours. It was a great concert.

Yes, and back in 2017 he still had his voice. I'm hoping, since he just announced a new tour that the time he stopped might help to heal those vocal cords a little and get at least some of that range back again. In 2017 I would have paid to go to his concert as well. I know it's just me, but Sir Paul had a once in a lifetime set of pipes and he wrote songs that fit his vocal range, however, he can no longer hit those notes and it just makes me sad. I know he loves to perform, but he is just there as a celebrity now, not the unique singing talent he once was.

My friend is heading to WDW for one last Aerosmith ride and it works out that its the Beach Boys weekend! I got super excited because we both went to see them in 2003 (where we got the BEST concert tshirt ever!) in college. I bet it will be busy because it's the last weekend of F&W and slight interest in the Beach Boys. I would say more crowded by the theatre because the people who don't know or didn't think they cared about them will probably stop and clog things up while walking by :)

Oh yeah never thought about it being the last weekend of F&W

Yeah, I can't imagine why anyone would want to go see... (checks notes) *Paul McCartney* ...except for the quality and timbre of his voice.

Likewise for the Beach Boys, one of the most iconic groups in music history, with their original lead singer. SMH.

The problem is the quality and timbre of his voice no longer exists.

Yeah I'll spend some time thinking about whether there might be any other reason people might want to go see... (again, checks notes) member of the best-selling band of all time, two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, writer of 32 Billboard number one songs, 19-time Grammy winner, activist, and one of the most famous people of the twentieth century Paul McCartney.

I'm fully aware of his genius and almost unbelievable accomplishments in music. I can't help it if hearing him sing now is like fingernails on a blackboard to me. That's phrase shows my age doesn't it? Anyway, if going there meant that I had to just see this microscopic person from the nosebleed seats it wouldn't be close to worth it. Now if he offered to come over to my place for dinner so we could chat sometime, I'd jump at the opportunity. He could even bring Ringo with him if he wanted. If people are going to a concert just to see the person and not be able to enjoy the music fully, why go? I can sit and listen to his records, beautifully played and sung all day long but I wouldn't pay hundreds, up to thousands of dollars, when I couldn't enjoy the music. (checking my notes, I think I have explained this all I intend too)

He played here in Raleigh a couple years ago and the prices were from $149.00 per person to $1700 per person. I suspect that the cheap seats might have been in a field across the road from the venue. Believe me it doesn't make me happy to know that he is having problems with the vocals, I feel bad for him which is quite the accomplishment when one figures that he is the richest musician on the planet. Having age and health take away some of the things that I could do well at one time makes me more empathetic than I can handle.

Some of these singers and performers have more talent left in their old bodies than most younger people ever had to start with. Mick Jagger, at age 81, can still put on a performance that many twenty somethings could never keep up with. As long as people are willing to pay to see their favorite musicians perform, what does age matter? A lot of people have special memories attached to certain songs that have nothing to do with quality of voice.

Yes, your unfathomable empathy came through when you said artists like McCartney should, "know when it is time to quit or get a life."

Actually, I said Paul McCartney should know when it is time to quit and the people that pay big bucks just to see him when he can only put on a show of far less quality then he once did, should get a life and stop worshiping celebrities. Guess I wasn't clear enough. He should either stop or with his millions find a surgeon that might be able to tighten up those overworked vocal cords.

I can't understand how he, knowing how great he was and in many ways still is, isn't embarrassed to be unable to hit those notes that once came so easy to him and made him the star that he is can still take that kind of money from his fans when his performance would be booed off the stage if it were anyone else. I really wish that there was some way to repair his vocal chops but, I'm guessing that if there were something he would have done it by now. All that said, I guess it is up to each individual to decide what is worth it and what isn't and my opinion should have very little, if any, effect on anyone.
