HOW CROWDED???Please help..........

OK< I have been told that the week before Christmas is one of the least crowded times of the year but when I booked the CRO told me that it was a really crowded time. We are going to be there from Dec. 17th untill the 23rd. To me, that is the week before Christmas. For those of you who have been in the past how crowded is the parks? Do I need to change dates? Please help me before I purchase the plane tickets tomorrow.

The crowds are going to start coming in on the 19th...I would switch if I were you...You will like the lower crowds of the week of the 14th...

I wouldn't expect light crowds this year. We just returned last night and I couldn't believe how crowded the parks were this time of year. Friends of ours work at WDW and they told us that Disney hotels are at 90% of capacity for the remainder of the year.

Also, since Christmas is mid week this year it would not surprise me that the entire week would be crowded.

We had to delay our Thanksgiving trip to the week of Dec. 14th. I just changed my reservations last week. We will be there 12/14-12/20. The only hotel that was full was WL. I even got an AP rate at Poly. There were several types of rooms to choose from. I think it will be fine until the 19th, when most schools get out. I would think the first few days of your trip will be fine, but by the weekend, crowds will start to get heavy.

I would switch to the week before, if you can. Even though by going then, you're making the parks more crowded for me!
