Ok this is my first trip to DL and I am going in March. Actually March 16 thru March 20 and I was wondering how crowded it is? Are schools on Spring Break?

Thanks for the help.

There may be some school breaks. You will miss BC's which is the 6-13h.
I find the best way to judge crowds is to go to some popular hotels and check availability - like the hojoanaheim.com and some across the street.
We are going the 10-17th and the hojos has been sold out for quite a while, so I know we are in for crowds.

I went at that time last year and won't be doing it again...it was awfully crowded....even more crowded than when I went in the summer! I hate to burst your bubble but you should be prepared for A LOT of people since it's spring break time.

What is "BC"? Also do most schools in California have spring break in March instead of durning Easter? I'm surprised. Since I am going in the middle of the week I am thinking it shouldn't be that crowded or am I missing something? This is my first time to California (since I was 4 years old - 32 years ag) and my first trip to DL.

That week is Spring Break for TX, but I don't think that many people go to DL. Most seem to go to WDW from here, but we alternate and will be at DL this year! I'm expecting it to be pretty busy. Hopefully less busy than the trip we just returned from between XMAS & New Years though! Crowds are all relative...

A lot of schools here in AZ have that week off for spring break (including my kid's school), so I'd imagine it'll be extremely busy then. If it were me and I had some flexibility in my schedule, I'd either go very early March or a week or two after Easter. You would likely avoid most spring breaks with either of those.

I've been to Dl twice a year for the past 6 years or so, and hit every month at some point:) My last trip was the last 2 weeks of March, into April.

Our hotel was completely booked (I tried to switch rooms)- but not because of spring breaks...what caused all the crowds for us was conventions. There was a national cheer competition in Anaheim that week. Everywhere you tunred was cheerleaders. All over the parks, in the hotel lobby, all overly excited. lol.

I was there the previous year though for a week at the beg of March and it was dead.

Crowds can be hard to predict:(

Check the convention center and see what type of conventions are being held when you are there. I didn't think to, but had I lookedbefore I went last, I would've seen that thousands of teenagers were going to be in town, and could've gone a week later.

BC is short for British Columbia the most western province up here in canuckie land. Our spring break in Calgary is March 27-April 6th. It will bring a lot of Albertans down as their are really great incentive packages for that time of year :)

Hi Mandi!:wave2: You guys are going in April? I am trying to plan a trip for beginning of June. We just got back from our WDW/Disney Cruise Christmas trip and the day we got back I was on the computer researching hotels and dates to go to Disneyland! Kyle is like this  when I even mention our next Disney trip.

But we are also planning a non Disney trip as well to San Francisco in the fall. So hopefully that will help. I have been wanting to go there for a few years now so it's for me as well. DD wants to see the Golden Gate bridge. She loves Disney as much as I do but she's getting older and is wanting to see new places. That's okay. I want my kids to have a variety of travel experiences. We try to mix it up but I do feel we need a Disney trip at least once per year. :lovestruc
