Hey! This is my first post ever. We have our WDW trip (the first since I was 3 years old) planned for Dec. 9-16, staying at PO-FQ. We have a 5 year old and 1 year old and wanted to visit at the LEAST crowded time (also the least expensive). I have read several guidebooks, and according to them, this is it. Is that true? Are we really going to beat the Xmas crowds? We made our resort, dining, etc. reservations a couple of weeks ago with no problems. I had my pick of pretty much everything (rooms, times, character meals, etc.). I'm hoping this is a good sign. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks!

We've been the first week and last year, the third week. The first week can get crowded - Pop Warner and that's usually when they film the Christmas parade. The third week (I think we arrived on 12/17 wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It got more crowded the closer it got to Christmas. I think the second week would be great! You'll love the decorations and the weather is usually great! Have a great trip!

wow, we never been that time either and we are planning on it this year, seems like a lot of people on the boards are going that week

You picked a winner!!! Best time of all to go to Disney. Everything is decorated and themed for the holidays. You won't have to wait for just about anything. The weather is perfect, not too hot in the daytime, and cool enough in the evening! Be sure to check out World Showcase countries in Epcot. They tell stories about the holidays from their countries, really special! Have fun!!! Jane :thumbsup2

We arrived in Disney on 12th of December last year and it was the quietest we've ever known the parks. We were away on a cruise for a few days and when we came back it was a totally different story - it felt they were packed to capacity.

Best time of the year to go! Fewer people, great weather, and the parks are decorated for the holidays. Enjoy

Wew are there on the 8th, it's a great time to go.

Check the Pop Warner dates, but besides that, it's a great time to go. The weather could be warmer (for my tastes anyway!) but the holiday decorations are wonderful and the crowds won't be too bad. :thumbsup2

I can tell you that this year Pop Warner will be there the week of December 4th-8th.... most of the kids stay at the Allstars... Hope this isn't your week!

Great time to go. That's when we went last year ( 7th-12th ). You get the whole X-Mas feel (especially w/ MVMCP (IMO)) and not a ton of people! Have a super time :santa: !.

p.s. I know this is around Pop Warner time :cheer2: ( I think? ), was not a problem @ the resort (CBR) or at the parks.

Whoohoo, I can't wait.. I'll be there Dec 9-16th.. Just not sure which hotel to stay at yet...
:santa:

We went one year starting on the 17th and we left on the 22nd. We had an easy time for the first few days with the crowds gradually picking up. The cool weather is great though. We seemed to have alot more fun meeting people than usual. Everyone is in a better mood when they aren't burning up!

We'll be there December 9-16. Last year we were there December 3-10 and it was great. I think Pop Warner may have been there then (lots and lots of cheerleaders!), but it wasn't bad at all. No long waiting in line, weather was nice, beautiful decorations. I can't imagine going at another time now!

We'll be there 7th to the 13th and didn't have problems getting rooms or dining ressies other than the Chef's table for V&As (got a reg table anyway w/o any problems) either!

We did 2nd week of December in the past and it was fantastic. The weather was nice but not hot. The parks weren't at all crowded and we didn't wait more than 10 minutes for even the most popular attractions. To top it all off seeing Disney decked out for the holidays was something I'll never forget. Enjoy!
